Reagan

We got to have Reagan over to play for a couple of hours the other day.  She and Barrett had the best time!
She read to Bear- she is the best reader!

They played on the firetruck.

And spent tons of time in the Huggies box.

Reagan's a girl you want to have over every day! She is so fun and helpful to have around!

City Creek Center

I got to spend the day out with my sisters on Saturday down at City Creek. My mom was sweet enough to stay home and watch Barrett, so she missed out on the girls activity :(
We stopped at Cafe Rio on the way down.

I didn't get the memo to wear blue jeans and my white puffy coat so I totally look like an outsider.  Oh well.

I'm getting pretty good at taking our own pictures!
We had a ton of fun (as if we wouldn't) and it was good to be able to do a little birthday shopping done too!!  April's right around the corner, folks!

Sunnies

We had Costa Vida for dinner the other night and Barrett ate almost a whole tortilla by himself!  He is definitely my son since those are some of my very favorite things to eat in the whole world!

He's also become obsessed with his sunglasses!  He'll dig them out of his diaper bag, put them on and then keep them on for hours!  It cracks me up!

Outside

Earlier this week (or maybe it was last week?), Bear and I took his little firetruck outside to play with it.  He was totally thrilled to be outside and even more excited that he got to take a toy out!

Living Planet Aquarium

Yesterday, we went down to the aquarium in Sandy. That place is TINY but the kids had a fun time seeing the different fish and animals.  Most of the pictures I took are just of the back of kids heads while they're looking at something, but I tried to put a few others in too!  We went with Kelsey, Tyce, Rylee, and Missy, Brinley, and Colton.
Bear really liked this big frog he's sitting on even though he's not paying attention to it here.

The otters were completely adorable and so fun to watch!  They were super active!

Barrett kept trying to get in this little pool and he really liked splashing in it too (he wasn't supposed to though and we kept getting scolded).  One little shark kept swimming with her head out of water and she'd come over so we could pet her.  Bear got to pet her a couple of times.  I was holding him, so I didn't get to pet the shark.
(I didn't want to carry our coats, so I made us wear them most of the time, but by the end you'll see that I did end up carrying them and I looked like a freaking camel!)

I wish this picture wasn't so blurry- these kids were so cute by the penguins!

The penguins were also really fun to watch and very active!

Fun day out for sure, but I don't think I'll go again until they move to their bigger, better building!

Chefs

When I'm around, Neil can't seem to make his own sandwich and then as soon as I'm out of town he's whipping up gourmet salads for himself!  He's probably a much better cook than I am, so I think from now on, I'll leave the cooking to him :)

Bear has also become interested in cooking.  He's been loving playing in little kitchens.  This one was at Whitney's baptism.

He loves making things in the play room kitchen too!  He'll put food in the pots and bowls and stir them, and even pretend to eat them.

Whirlwind Weekend

Another weekend is over already- and this one was jam packed!!  Neil flew in Friday night- late enough that he didn't even get to see Barrett til the next morning :(

Saturday we had some errands to run and then went to Tinkerbell's baptism.  Bear obviously loves his cousins and they obviously love him too!!

Tink in her baptism dress.
Their whole family after the baptism.

Neil and the boys had to make some time for a little Wii.

Later on Saturday, we went to Kurt and Monica's for dinner.  This is Beck, Aidan and Henry playing football.  I need to get some more pics of the party from my father-in-law, so I'll add those later.

After the Johnson party, we took Barrett home to go to bed and then went out with Jason and Heather.  We went bowling at Fat Cats.

And then stayed up WAY too late playing games.

Sunday, Kelsey and Alex came over since we're both back in town at the same time.

And we soaked up every minute we could with Dad since it had been a whole month since we'd been together!  Luckily, he'll be back in a week and a half again!

This Week at Little Gym

Barrett had fun at Little Gym this week with a new friend named Brooklyn who also didn't want to do anything but play in the ball pits.

I did get Barrett to try this swing thing with Miss Whitney.  He started getting separation anxiety last week and now he doesn't want to do anything where I'm not right next to him or holding him.

They do separation time at the end of class to help get the kids used to playing with other kids and not their parents.  These pictures are blurry since they're far away and taken on my phone, but you get the idea...
Bear (still in the turtle ball pit with Brooklyn) looking for me.

Starts bawling and that's the end of his "separation time".  On the plus side, he walked all the way from where he is in the picture to where I was standing.  It's a lot farther than it looks.

The other teacher in Bear's class is Drew.  Drew is super nice and good with the kids, but Bear is pretty afraid of Drew.  Notice I'm not using any pronouns here because I'm honestly not sure which one to use!
We'll keep working on the separation time- he cries if I go downstairs without him now!

The Treehouse

Barrett and I met Nicole and Elias at The Treehouse Museum in Ogden this week.
The boys had a really fun time exploring all the things they have there and of course, Nicole and I had fun catching up and watching them play!

I know I always say this, but it's true- Barrett LOVES animals!

Eli and Bear played SO cute together!  I know Eli looks all offended in this picture, but really, they had a ton of fun playing together and especially chasing each other!

Definitely a place worth checking out if you never have!
