Dinner Dates

We've had a couple fun nights out lately. We went out to Flemings at the Gateway with Neil's parents the other night and the food was beyond delicious! There's me and Neil on the left side and Pat and Dawn on the right.
I had a girls night with my school girlfriends. We went to Roosters and the food was amazing there too! Annie and Kacey on the left, Me and Nicole on the right.
Both nights were so much fun and I'd like to do them again soon!

Shooting

Last Saturday, we spent the day with some friends and family shooting a bunch of Neil's dad's guns.

This is one of my mom's favorite guns to shoot, it's the Barrett .50 cal. It is so freaking loud and it nearly knocks you out of the chair (see her feet lifted off the ground!?)

In this one, Stella started shooting the Tommy Gun and it totally pushed her back, so Blake reached up to try to steady her a little more.

Here's Alex shooting the M16

My AMAZING mothers

I can't remember what this one was called, but you better watch out...I'm freaking deadly :)

Dad with the M60

Dawn shooting the AR-15

Me with the Uzi, so fun!

Neil and the MP5

Alex with the AK-47
At the end of the day, we had this really fun competition that had 5 stations.

The first station was the shooting long range (120 yards) with the Barrett. The second station was shooting the M1A. Station 3 was AR 15 shooting at full pop cans about 25 yards away. Station 4 was using MP5 at the wobble target. And station 5 was shooting at the swinging target about 15 yards away with the Glock.

Your score depended both on your speed and your accuracy. My mom was very, very accurate on her shots, but she was the slowest of the whole group! Neil won the competition with Blake coming in 2nd.

Neil starting it all out (he's at station 2 in this pic though).

Blake at Station 2, but he's using the M-1 Garand instead.
Kurt at station 3.
Me at station 4
And Pat at station 5 and he's using a Springfield 45.

This 12 gauge shotgun is cool because it doesn't have the shoulder part, so you just hold it like my dad is.

Blake shooting the HK USP Tactical. Pretty sweet, especially with the silencer on it!

Me with the AR-15, This is Neil's newest gun.

And last but not least, Stella shooting the enormous Browning M2.

What a Week!

My older brother John Scott and his family came into town from California for about a week and a half. We did a lot of fun things while they were here, although some of the things we did, they were doing other fun things with Stef's family so they're not in the pictures.
We got out the marble game.

We celebrated LaLa's birthday with my favorite cupcakes from Cutesie Cakes!
Lit a few fireworks in the driveway.

Lots of wrestling with John Scott (I didn't do this at all, just the kids.)

Played outside

We went to Tanner and Carly's wedding dinner.

We went swimming at CoCo's one day (this is CoCo, more commonly known as aunt Connie)
Jill and me
McCord
Reagan doing a mermaid pose on the rocks
Me, Cord, Reags, and Tink.
I took Max and Livvie to art class this week where they made these cute birds.
I bounced back to Lagoon with Shelley and Sean's family.

We took them on the Big Tidal Wave this time. Alex LOVED it, Ethan was pretty afraid, and Lindsay was sort of in the middle of having fun and freaking out.
Alex and E in the cars.

Alex on the baby bumper cars. They really liked these!

Me and Shelley on Puff

Seany and Lu.

The worker let Alex and Ethan go in the front by themselves! Shelley was super nervous about this, but they were fine.

And last but not least, we spent about 6 hours shooting amazing guns yesterday, but that definitely needs it's own post!

July 4th

Happy 4th of July! We had tons going on since the 4th was stretched into 3 days.
We went to the Kaysville parade with my whole family and Stefanies whole family too!
McCord waited with his hand over his heart from the time he sat down until the flag actually came about 40 minutes later!

Here's
some of our giant group we had at the parade

Dane and John Scott

On Monday, Neil and I went to the Layton parade so I could see the cute Officers and Cheerleaders from my school. After that, we went to swim at Grandma GiGi's!
Nick, Tink, and me

Neil and my dad.
Mom and Jill even wore some Captain America swimgear :)

Birthdays

We've been able to celebrate a bunch of birthdays in our family this last week.

We finally had Neil's birthday dinner (he'd been out of town for a while).

Everyone grabbing for a candle.

And the triplets turned 3 on July 1st! The boys wanted Lightening McQueen cakes and Linds wanted Cinderella. (I was mixing red frosting for about an hour!)

Ethan wanted to wear Lindsay's princess crown!

YAY!
Some of the party guests.
The Christensen girls.

Then it was Taylor's 22nd birthday on Friday.

An old family friend "Dog Collar Brandon" and his cute wife came over to visit too.
