my own costume party

We recently got a new class at our gym called Body Jam. All week there have been signs advertising for tonight's special Halloween Body Jam class. They all said to dress up and come dance. So I come like this...

But most everyone else came in their regular gym clothes! The instructor did wear some glittery outfit and there were 2 other ladies in fancy costumes. But for the most part, I just looked retarded!
Oh well, I still had fun and i thought my outfit was pretty hot!
And by hot I mean so freaking 80's it's ridiculous!

Twin Day

A few weeks ago we had "Multiples Day" at school. It's basically twin day, but you tried to get as many people to dress the same as you could, hence the Multiples. A bunch of us teachers saw it as another chance to wear jeans to work so we all wore a black shirt and jeans- creative, right!?
I don't have any pictures of my group of mulitples from this year, but I was reminded of when Chelse and I dressed up as twins for our twin day at Central Davis Jr. High. We had the same shoes, pants, sweater, and we made each other visors that had our names on top! We even went and got our picture taken with Santa that day! We were so weird.

Even more hilarious is the fact that we were twins even when it wasn't twin day. We had at least 3 matching swimsuits, sandals, halloween costumes, make up bags, etc. Talk about AWESOME!! Or awkward...

I seriously could've added another dozen pictures of me and chel being twins. Most of them are even more hideous than these though--IF you can believe that!! I took way too many pics for how barfy I always looked!

Sundaes

Last night, Me, my parents, Taylor, Max and Livvie went out to Iggy's for dinner. The kids meals there are so freaking awesome! They come with these humongous sundaes at the end! Max and Liv both ate their WHOLE dinner and their WHOLE ice cream sundae! (well, we all stole a couple bites)

Mr and Mrs Noel

On Monday, October 20th, 2 of my favorite people got married! I was so excited and practically counting down the days!
Here's Richard and his groomsmen; Stu, Josh, and Seth. (the old man is Richards uncle who performed the ceremony)

You can't see anyone very well, but this is Michelle and her 4 sisters as her bridesmaids (Ashley, Kami, Brooke, Nicole)

This is our group of friends after the ceremony.

Richard and Michelle cutting the cake.

You probably can't tell very well, but Michelle's dress was so amazingly gorgeous and I loved her hair too. Everything was just perfect!

It Was The Best of Times, It Was The Blurst of Times.

(Simpson's joke)
Several people in my family went to California this weekend. The vacation was a blast, but getting there and back could be put in the "blurst" category.
Neil and I flew into Anaheim on Thursday. We were really confused when we landed in Phoenix. Turns out we had a stopover that was NOT on our itinerary! The plane left late from Phoenix so we didn't get into Anaheim until after the rental car place had closed. So we got in a taxi and the guy "got lost". Give me a freaking break! It is his job to sit at the airport and take people to and from Disneyland all day EVERY DAY!! Don't worry though, he knocked off 2 bucks for us!
Luckily on Friday we got to go to Disneyland and meet up with John, Stef, Cord, Dane, Mom and Dad. That made the crappy traveling worthwhile.
Saturday we drove down to San Diego w/ my parents to meet Shelley, Sean, Lindsay, Alex, and Ethan. We had a great day at La Jolla Shores beach and then had incredible, fresh seafood for dinner!
Sunday, Neil and I went to Mission Beach and did some shopping. That concludes the "best" portion.
Back to the blurst.
We got to the airport in San Diego early, only to find out that our flight was delayed an hour! We had a stop over in Vegas, but at least we knew about this one! Actually the way home really wasn't too bad.
Here's Stef and Dane on Dumbo

Neil took this picture of me on the Teacups, when I almost threw up!

Neil on the Merry go round.

They do so many cute things for Halloween!

Stef and Dad

They actually change the WHOLE haunted mansion into the NIghtmare Before Christmas. It's darling.

I'm definitely going back next year to go trick-or-treating, they were all sold out this year!

Me, Dad, and Neil all squished onto the Big Thunder RR ride. I was laughing so hard the whole time just because we were so smashed in the tiny little cart.

Dane is the sweetest little guy. I loved when he fell asleep on me!

Lindsay and Daddy

My mistake- Ethan is running by himself at the beach. Alex is with Shelley.

CROCS

Okay guys, I'll be straightforward here. I am not a fan of Crocs. I'm sure they're comfortable, I just don't happen to think they're cute. I don't care that so many people like them even though I don't get it. HOWEVER, they are not gym shoes! Don't wear your stupid crocs to the gym and try to do a fitness class. You look ridiculous and you will very likely get hurt (which maybe you deserve). Even if they were featured on the Oprah Winfrey show, it still does not make them gym shoes. Wear them in the garden or to work, if you must, just don't wear them to the gym!

Taylor's colonoscopy

My little brother had a colonoscopy a couple days ago. Here are some pictures of his insides.
Sorry if it grosses you out but I always like to have pictures with my stories. And I had some funny stories about his colonoscopy.

The note that is on the pictures is from Jerry (Jason). It made me laugh really hard. It says, "Dearest Family of mine, hope you know I love you. A fine colon for a fine young man. Love you. Thank you. Jerry." I'm wondering if someone else wrote it though simply because the handwriting is extra nice and all the words are spelled correctly, which is not something Jerry is known for.
The other funny story about tay's procedure is that when he first started waking up, he said, "So this is what it feels like to wake up in Vegas!" The nurses told my mom that he was cracking everyone up!
Those are my cute little brothers :)

Hiking

Back when it still felt like fall (actually, it was when it was supposed to be Fall but it was still hot enough to be summer), Neil and I went on a wonderful Sunday afternoon hike up Adams Canyon.

We didn't go all the way up to the waterfall because we had some other stuff we needed to do. It was still very fun though. And HOT! I miss the heat already!

School Days

This is where I'm currently living...

Or at least that's what it feels like because of Parent Teacher Conferences this week.

I had a 12 hour day today and I'm T-I-R-E-D!

I have one thing that I absolutely hate about my job
and that is all the paper cuts I constantly have.
My hands are totally torn up into tiny little shreds every single day

High School Tag (not kissing tag)

High School: Layton High School (It's not THAT bad)

1. Did you date someone from your high school: Yeah, but it was a different guy every year.

2. What kind of car did you drive? : A red subaru and then a white explorer.
3. What is your most embarrassing moment in high school?: I think the whole thing was one big embarrassing moment. But even worse was probably when Mike Nielsen pulled down my pants and underwear in front of all our friends at Tanner Blacks house. Wait, I think that might have been jr. high- so I choose my first answer again.

4. Were you a party animal?: Some might say that...

5. Were you considered a flirt?: I don't know, it's likely.
6. Were you in band, orchestra, or choir?: not much of a singer

7. Were you a nerd? : Nerd means so many things. People probably called me a nerd because they didn't want to say any meaner words than that!
8. Were you on any varsity teams? : Drill team doesn't really have Varsity or Jr. Varsity.

9. Did you get suspended/expelled? : Just once in high school and once in jr. high.

10. Can you still sing the fight song? : I never learned it in the first place.

11. Who were your favorite teachers? : Miss Barnett! She made me want to be a chemistry teacher. Turns out, I don't really like chemistry that much, so I teach health and drama instead!

12. Where did you sit during lunch?: I don't know, where ever we were going for lunch?

13. School Mascot?: Lancer!

14. Did you go to homecoming and with who?: Jake Northern, Baker Andrew Singleton III, and Mike Nielsen. (none of which were my boyfriends, well, Mike was my boyfriend in 9th grade)

15. If you could go back and do it again, would you? : A big fat YES- but only so I could do things differently, not necessarily because I loved it so much. Although I did have some Kick Ass friends!

16. What do you remember most about graduation?: Lots of pictures. We did go on a really fun Senior Trip with about a million people to Lake Powell. It was great except for when Chelse almost drowned every single night.

17. Where did you go senior skip day?: I don't think there was an "official" senior skip day at LHS, just like every time you didn't want to go to class.

18. Have you gained weight since then?: If any one says no to this answer, you're a jerk!
(This was taken the day after graduation, this picture is funny because NO ONE is with the person that they were with then, LUCKILY!)
19. Who was your prom date?: Jared Isom, Mitch Hill? (I'm not sure if that was his last name or not), and Mike Green. Even though I usually had a blast at dances, I almost never went to dances with my boyfriends, not that I didn't want to, but I always had random people ask me out. Mike Green was my boyfriend at the time however. Go figure.

20. Are you planning on going to your 10 year reunion?: That is such a dumb question. Of course I'm not going to my 10 year reunion. I'm hoping to be living in another country by then.

21. Looking back, what advice would you give yourself?: I have no clue- Oh, I would have told myself about stretch marks and cellulite and that they can happen to anyone!

(I know the pics aren't great quality, but they are like 6 years old, so what can you expect!)

An Apple for the Teacher

I really don't know where this whole idea started, but I'm sure you all realize that red apples and those are the "symbols" of teachers everywhere. I actually hate the taste of red apples, so I hope I never really get one.
However, I was especially excited when my Mom got me this apple present.

It smells delicious and I love Philosophy Products.

That is my kind of apple present!

Body Worlds 3

Today we took all our health and honors science classes on a field trip to see the amazing exhibit Body Worlds at The Leonardo in SLC.
This picture isn't even HALF of the kids we took. It was crazy!

I had seen Body Worlds before with Neil, Missy, Aaron, Kelsey, and Alex in Vegas last year and I have to say it was better in Vegas. That could've just been due to the stress levels though.
Here's my advice to you: Don't organize a field trip that hundreds of kids will be attending. I'm completely exhausted and I was only 2nd in command of the organizing! I fell asleep on the bus ride home, which was nice, but now I'm ready for another, more peaceful nap.
