Halloween Gymmies

It's Halloween time which means Halloween jammies from Gymboree and as always, an amateur photoshoot!

I felt like I better do on last picture like this, just to keep up the tradition.  He's obviously gotten too big to lay on that blanket but it's still the one he sleeps with every night.  Once he's asleep I go in his room and put a bigger blanket over him.

Halloween Party

We went to a fun Halloween party last weekend with some of Neil's high school friends.  Barrett decided to be the Hulk, but he didn't last too long in the costume since he wasn't allowed to eat in it and he got too hot.

Neil had only gotten home from Las Vegas a few hours earlier, so we just threw something together for us.  He was Mad Eye Moody from Harry Potter, I was Minnie Mouse, Eden was Anna from Frozen, and Bear was Hulk (we forgot his mask).

I made some witches hats, spider cookies, and brownies to take (they didn't all fit on one platter).

The kids had a blast running around in the basement.

Markham gave a horror movie quiz and Neil (not surprisingly) won.  I wish I would've gotten pictures of each family, everyone looked great!

Markham was Mickey and Brittany was Minnie too! Big pimpin Mickey ;)
The party was at Brittany and Markham's new house and it was so fun and their house was so beautiful!  It made me want to buy a house- and then I remembered Neil travels for work every week from Sunday-Friday and I realize that I don't actually want to buy a house and be all alone all the time.

Barrett's First Field Trip

Bear had his first field trip for preschool last week and I got to go.  It was a tour of a local grocery store and I think all the kids really had fun.
His preschool class only has 1 other boy in it (not pictured).

In addition to going through the bakery, the fridge, and even the freezer, the tour guide took them on a ride of the loading dock.  It freaked me out- and some of the kids too!
They got a cookie at the beginning and candy at the end, so even if they didn't like anything in the middle, it was a good time.

Frozen Babies

My little Olaf and Anna from Frozen.  Barrett's actually going to be the Hulk for Halloween I think, but I had to get him in the Olaf costume to take pictures.

And I thought a snowman blanket background was appropriate.

Most people remember Anna in a blue dress but she wears the green one through the beginning of the movie.  It's her coronation dress I think.

4 Months Old

Eden likes to play with and hold on to my hands.
She likes to play with toys and can grab them and put them in her mouth.
Laughs and smiles a lot more now.
She can roll from her front to her back, although rarely does it.  She is SO close to being able to roll from her back to her front.
She is 100% adored by everyone.  Barrett tells me at least once per day lately that he just loves having a baby sister.
She's starting to nap better now as long as I swaddle her and hold her until she's asleep.  She likes to have her raggie over her face until she's asleep too. (PS that's one of my pj shirts which I think is very funny because it says "Got Implants" across the chest but it is from a DENTAL implant company, in case you were wondering)

If she isn't sucking on her binky, a toy, or her fingers, she'll suck her bottom lip.

Length: 23.62 inches (22nd percentile)
Weight: 11 lbs 14 oz (12th percentile)
Head: 40.6 cm (35th percentile)
Eden is still on the small side but is doing well.
We just started putting her in size 2 diapers even though I think they're way too big.  Neil thought the 1s were too small and we ran out of them anyways, so I figured we might as well jump to 2s.  She'll grow into them eventually!

★Taylor Swift★

Back in February, Neil gave me an amazing gift for our ten year anniversary. Last weekend was when I finally got to use it...
Me, Eden, and Jill got on a plane to Dallas, Texas to see Taylor Swift's 1989 concert!  Eden did SO well on the flights which is always a relief!  It was so nice traveling with Jill and having all her extra help with Eden!  This was her first flight and, coincidentally,  Barrett's first flight was also to Dallas!

The first night, the three of us stayed in Southlake at a nice hotel in a shopping area Neil and I used to go to often when we lived in Dallas (Grapevine more specifically).  We spent Friday and Saturday doing some shopping and hanging out at the hotel.  While we were out, I bought Eden this adorable little Cinderella and a cute little Yoda for Bear.

Face timing with Daddy and Bear.

Saturday, we got ready and checked out of our hotel.

Did a little more shopping and then drove to Plano to see my cousin Greg and his family.

I had arranged with Greg to have him tend Eden while we went to the concert.
This is in front of their house when we were leaving to go to the concert!

This stadium is so huge and awesome!  It seats 80,000 people!

Her husband Don is a huge Cowboys fan so she kept the cups from our drinks to take home.

We had the most amazing seats!!!
We were the 11th row back and only 2 seats in from the catwalk!!  Best seats I've ever had at a concert!

When she first came out, I had to try not to cry!  Not even kidding.

See how close!? There were literally only 2 people between me and Taylor Swift.  3 if you count the security guard that stood there sometimes.

Hiiiiiiii Taylor Swift!

❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️

Oh man, she had the best costumes!!

I took at least a hundred pictures on my phone probably (I didn't bring my camera because they didn't allow bags in the stadium and I didn't want to carry it all night) but most of them didn't turn out very well because the lighting.

Her surprise guest was Ellie Goulding!  They were awesome together, of course!

If you notice all the little lights in the background of these pictures, those are bracelets that were taped to each chair.  You put on the bracelet and it was synchronized to her music so they all flashed the same color to the beat of her songs all night, it was so cool!

Everything about the concert was just awesome. I've had her music on repeat ever since we left!

Her catwalk raised up and spun around.  I preferred it on the ground because then we were closer to it, but she went right over us a couple times and that was cool too.

There were so many superfans in fun costumes. These guys were right behind us.
It took us an HOUR just to get out of the parking lot after the show, so by the time we got back to Plano and ready for bed and everything, it was about 2:30.  We were exhausted the next few days!  Sunday morning, we woke up and Greg had made us grams (crepes) for breakfast.

Ansel, Elsa, and Louisa looked at the pictures and videos we took from the concert.

Jill, Greg, Me, Louisa, Ansel.

Eden, Louisa, Jill, Elsa, Ansel, Greg, Suzy, and Henry.  The ChrisTEXANS, instead of Christensens, get it?  It worked out so perfectly that Neil happened to buy these tickets for Dallas so that I could bring Eden and my cousins could babysit her!  He was looking at buying the tickets in Toronto and as much as I would've loved to have gone there again, it just wouldn't have worked out well with Eden.

Elsa and Jill in their TS shirts.

Jill, Reagan, Tink, and me in our new TS concert shirts!

I feel like a troll in all these pictures next to Jill.
