Get Togethers

We were lucky enough to get together with quite a few friends and family members before we had to move.  We had a little family reunion with some family friends, the Badgers.  My dad and Bri went to dental school together and we went on family vacations together for YEARS, probably at least 20!  They are such a great family.

We got to have a BBQ with some of our friends at Courtney's mom's house one night.  The boys and kids swam and the girls just talked and hung out.

We had the annual RJ and GiGi anniversary party.  Bear and I only got to go for a short time though :(

9 Month Check Up

Even though it's 2 1/2 weeks early, we had Bear's 9 month well baby visit today. He's growing great and had a great time ripping up the paper as usual.

Barrett is 29.1 inches (87th percentile)
18 lbs 4 oz (21st percentile)
His head is 46 cm (77th percentile)
So he's a tall, skinny boy with a pretty big head- and completely amazing and perfect!

Wicked!

Last night my mom and I went to Wicked in Salt Lake.  I bought the tickets for Neil and I last year but since he's already in Texas, I was scrambling to find a date.  My mom has already seen the show 3 or 4 times (twice in New York) and is probably going again next week, but she came with me anyways!

The show was really fun.  I've been listening to the original cast soundtrack for years, so it was great to finally get to see the show!

On our way home from the play, I noticed a big fire on the mountain and could tell it was pretty low and definitely in Layton.  Mom and I were curious about it so we went looking for it. 
The fire was huge when we first saw it (I didn't take a picture of that), but by the time we got closer to it, the firefighters had put a lot of it out already.  Way to go!

The fire was right above my uncle's house and from some angles it looked like the houses in his neighborhood were on fire.  I hope they weren't!

Swimming

We gave up on Cherry Hill long ago but when we went swimming at Grandma GiGi's, Barrett had a great time!  We only stayed about an hour before it was nap time again, but it was really fun.

Even with all the toys he has to choose from, Barrett consistently chooses The Simpson's.  He's becoming more like me every day :)

Swinging

Sometime last weekend (I wanna say Friday, but I never know what day it is anymore so that's just a guess), Barrett got to go out and play on the swing set for the first time ever. 

He was loving the swing and just laughed and smiled the whole time.  All of us who were out there watching (and there was about 7 of us) all laughed and smiled the whole time too!

Old Pictures

We've been looking through a ton of old pictures lately at my parent's house and it has been so fun to see the resemblances between Barrett and other family members.  I've thought since Bear was tiny that he looks a lot like Nick did at the same age.  They both have the sticky up/chicken feather hair and are just too darling (the first 3 pictures are Nicholas).  The very last picture is of Taylor as a 3 year old but I definitely see some resemblance there too.  I found a couple pictures of me where Bear and I look similar, but they didn't get scanned in.

These pictures were all scanned in and I don't know how to separate them and make them bigger on my parents computer, so you'll just have to click to make them bigger.

Pet News

Last week when I was tending Max and Liv, we pulled up to their house just in time to see the neighbor's dog chasing their cat Mimsy and she ran right up a tree.  I took some pictures of Max and Livvie trying to get Mimsy out of the tree because it was so funny.  Unfortunately, I missed the very best/cutest picture of Max kneeling on the ground and Liv standing on his back.  Ultimately, I just had to go get her down.



Also last week, Taylor and Brittany got a dog!  They adopted her from the shelter in Trolley Square I think.  She's mostly a Lab-Chow mix and is probably 3-5 years old.  They named her Bowie after David Bowie of course

 She seems like a sweet dog and Taylor's a good daddy to her :)

Pajama Party

I love this kid in his jammies!  It's a good thing I do because he and I party in our pjs until about noon each day :)  Since we spend the majority of our days in pajamas, I take a lot of pictures of Bear in them (as you can see).
