Last Week

I only have a few things to post because we've been busy around here lately.  We packed up my car with a bunch of stuff (clothes, toys, Barrett's crib, etc.) and Neil drove it to Denver on January 2nd.  He's been having a bit of an ordeal with our apartment and he's not sure if he's going to be staying in it or not.  Me, Bear, and my mom are flying to Denver on Saturday and we'll live there for a while.  Well, not my mom, she unfortunately is not moving with us, she's just coming for the weekend to help ease the pain.
These pictures are the worst quality!  Worse than normal for some reason.
My Dad had the flu on New Years day, so that was rough.  My mom had it pretty good though with Bear and Hadley on her lap.

Bear and LaLa tickling Hadley's belly.

Bear is still loving his kitchen.

I went to dinner with these lovely friends as a kind of "going away" for me.

My mom gets LOTS of packages in the mail, like, you wouldn't believe how many she gets!  Bear loves to play in the boxes and pop the bubble wrap.  Everybody wins!

This happened!  I got gold even though Neil said gold was just for Persians.  My case hasn't come in the mail yet though and this thing is so slippery.  I've dropped it almost every day since I got it.  Luckily, it hasn't broken yet!  I also haven't switched everything over from my old phone to my new one so I still have to carry both with me.

I also have a REALLY cute video of Bear singing Jingle Bells, but it's not letting me post it!  I'll work on it!  He's gotten really good at singing (for a 2 year old) and he learns a song after only hearing it a few times.
Update: Here's the video...

A Few More From December

The last few years, we've been getting ridiculous amounts of ice on our back porch (in 2010, it caused my dad to fall, breaking his femur and shoulder).  My parents got new rain gutters over the summer to try to fix the problem, but this year was as bad as ever, maybe even worse.
My crazy dad got out the ladder one night to try to fix the problem.  He was up on the ladder with a rake scraping the ice off the roof.

Then my mom went out with her official C.E.R.T helmet and they put salt on the roof to melt the rest of it.

They did the same thing in front of the garage.  When I took this picture and the flash went off, my mom panicked for a second thinking my dad was getting electrocuted.  He wasn't, so it was funny.

Watching Up.  Livvie was tickling Barrett's back and was originally holding LuLu like a baby.  She is so loving!

We celebrated Don's birthday a couple weeks late..

My sweet friend Ashley brought us some of her amazing red and green velvet cupcakes for Christmas.  Bear was in heaven!

He wanted to go out and help Pops and Lala shovel the ice off the driveway.  They gave him a little rake originally.

But he decided he needed a shovel instead.

He also wanted me to take a picture of him with Pops and with Lala too.  The one with Pops is even more blurry though :(

New Years Eve

We had a great New Years Eve and we actually stayed up til midnight!
We met Papa, Grandma, and Lola at Twig's in Farmington for dinner.  Barrett just wanted to stay outside all  day and watch the fountains.

Then we went to my parent's house to hang out with everyone.
These guys had been working on this 500 piece puzzle for a few days.  Excluding Barrett of course.

Then we went over to Jen and Rory's house to ring in the new year.

Tubing at Soldier Hollow

Normally every year we go see the Temple Square lights and eat at Hires with the Johnson side of the family.  This year, someone had a brilliant idea to go tubing at Soldier Hollow instead of going to see the lights.  I would've loved to see the Temple lights since I haven't been in a few years, but tubing was definitely more fun!
We got all bundled up.  A little too bundled up actually, Neil and I got hot!

Me and Bear on the baby hill.

We were thinking about taking Bear on the big hill with us, but changed our minds once we realized he would absolutely hate it!!  He would have to be on his own tube and he would've just been screaming his guts out!  This is Neil getting towed up to the top of the hill.

I took the new camera on our first run down.  That was probably a mistake.  This is us at the top of the hill before we started going too fast.  I nearly dropped the camera and it ended up getting soaked from all the snow spray.  We left it in the diaper bag the rest of the time!

Barrett was MORE than happy to sit at the bottom with Grandma eating snacks and bouncing on the tube.

This is the baby hill.  Bear, Mary, and Lola had a ton of fun in this area.  Although Mary and Lola both went down the huge hills a couple times too!

I could eat him up!
