Baby Animal Days

Ahhhhhh I'm getting so behind on posts!
This was over a week ago.  I signed Barrett and Neil up to go to a kids workshop at Home Depot.  They got to build an Angry Birds birdhouse.  They had lots of fun.

Later that day we went over to the Baby Animal Days Festival in Kaysville.

He got to hold a baby chick.

Bear got to feed and pet this little piggy.

and baby bunnies, they were so soft!

He loved riding the horse but got a bad pinch from the helmet right before so he was pretty sad until he got on the horse.

It was a little rainy and cold but not too bad.

Neil said this snake felt way smooth and soft, more than others he's pet.

Mother's Day

I had a wonderful Mother's Day weekend. On Friday Bear came home from school with this cute recipe book he'd made for me.

He said he meant to write m's but accidentally wrote w's instead.  I love it.

He knows just how to make the best chocolate Cheerios!

Saturday morning Bear and Neil came home with these flowers, balloon, and card for me.

We went to visit Grandma Gigi on Saturday too.

Bear loves her little cat, Darling.

Sunday, Eden and I actually made it to church!  Bear was going to be singing with the primary and I didn't want to miss that! (those are my flowers behind us, Barrett told me the pink one was from Eden, the orange one was from him, and the red one was from Daddy) One day I hope it will actually be warm enough for Eden to wear her millions of dresses without sweaters and tights!

Bear opened my presents for me.  I got the cutest purse from Fossil- I've needed a new one for about 5 years now!

And an eyelash curler and mascara from Sephora.

My cousin Kelsey makes really cute clay jewelry and Disney princes/princesses (you can look Sleepy Turtle Beads on instagram or facebook).  I never wear jewelry but I thought I'd get some earrings and see if my piercings had closed up or not.

What do ya know!?  Still pierced!

This is the card that Barrett picked out for me too.  He thought it was the cutest one and I agree!

I was in charge of making a dessert for our family party but Neil did it instead!

Mother's Day was on my Dad's birthday this year so we celebrated him too.

It was a smaller group for our party this year but very fun.

Bear played really well with Lula.

I posted this on instagram and facebook for Mother's Day/Dad's birthday.

Happy birthday to my dad and happy Mother's Day to my mom! Perfect that they would share today because they do everything else together!  Both were Olympic torch bearers in 2002 and have been 6x Ironman finishers.  I'm a little proud.

Curiosity

Last weekend we had planned to go down to St. George but when we checked the weather, it looked like it as going to be rainy the whole time so we didn't go. Since Neil had Friday off, we decided to go to The Natural Museum of Curiosity (or something like that) at Thanksgiving Point.
I took Bear once a year or two ago and it's a very cool museum- I wish it was closer to us.
There's not a ton for little babies but we found a couple fun things for Eden.

Luckily Neil got to come and could do things like this with Barrett.

This was definitely one of Bear's favorite things. 

Eden didn't get her 2nd nap so she was exhausted!  She's not a baby who will just sleep anywhere.  She has a hard time if she's not in her own crib at home.

I got soaked just from standing near this thing!

I was really worried he was going to get flipped off this but he held on tight and loved it.  He went on it at least 5 times.

One more little baby section for Eden.

The past few years, I've only seen this group of friends once a year- the last 2 years was when I invited them to my birthday party.  So we had our yearly get together earlier this week (at the same place as last year too!)  Anyways, it was a great night out at Settebellos.
I was going to bring my new selfie stick that I bought for my birthday but I haven't ever used it yet so I didn't know how to get it all set up. We were laughing about how many pictures we had to take. 
Someone said this one wasn't good because it looks like I only have 1 eye- I said it was fine, people have seen me before and know I still have 2.

Jenelle didn't like this because it looks like she has a giant ear because of Jamie's weirdly placed hand.

Jenelle pointed out the hilariously placed umbrella that goes from a party hat

to a chinese hat.

You can't say we didn't try.

Twinners

When I put Eden in these jammies, I thought, "I swear Bear had jammies exactly like this but blue!" So I took her picture in them and then started looking for a picture of him in his.
Not exactly the same but kind of similar I guess. 

They're both Gymboree 6-12 month jammies but Bear filled his out a lot better at 6 months than Eden did hers at almost 10 1/2 months!
