Cherry Hill

Yesterday, I got to go to Cherry Hill with my nephew Nicholas.
I hadn't been there in probably 6 years or so. Nothing has changed, but it's still really fun.
We ate a lot of good food and treats and got some much needed sun!
The tickets, as well as the food, were surprisingly expensive. It was worth it though- Nick had a GREAT time!

Happy 24th!

We had a really fun long weekend to celebrate the 24th of July. On Thursday night we went to the Ogden Pioneer Days Rodeo with some of Neil's friends. Neil had never been to a rodeo in his whole life, so this was a really good one to get him started with!

We swam all day on Friday and Saturday at my Grandmas.
Here's Ethan
Mom, Shelley, Linds, and Me.
Sean, Alex's bare bum, Ethan, Dad, and Lindsay
Shelley and Lou
Neil throwing Lou Lou in the air- they could NOT get enough of that!
Ethan's turn
Me and Neil
Then Saturday night, we went to ANOTHER rodeo! We went with Missy and Aaron and Kelsey and Alex to the Days of 47 rodeo at the E Center. Neil got a good taste for rodeos this week since he'd never been to 1 in 27 years and then he goes to 2 in 3 days! Now we just need to get us both some cowboy boots for the next rodeo we go to!
The best part of this rodeo was the HILARIOUS sheepherding monkey named Whiplash! He rides a freaking dog! That is entertainment at it's finest!!

Fellowship of the Dentists

Two weekends ago, my Mom and Dad went to Baltimore, Maryland for my dad's AGD Fellowship award. A Fellowship in the Academy of General Dentistry is a prestigious symbol of a dentist's continual journey toward the improvement in their profession and a commitment to lifelong learning. (I copied that out of the commencement program)

To earn a Fellowship, my Dad had to be a member of the AGD for at least 3 years, earn at least 500 continuing education credits, and pass a 400-question comprehensive exam!

Luckily, he still loves what he does, so he's always taking classes to learn new things and be the very best! We are so proud of Dad for being the smartest, nicest, and best dentist around! Here's a few pictures of their trip.

Neil's a T-bird : )

Not a T-Bird from Grease or the kind of Thunderbird that flies in amazing airshows.
Neil is going to be getting his MBA from Thunderbird School of Global Management.

Luckily, he's doing the "On Demand" program (online) so we don't have to move to Arizona. YAY! I don't think I could handle that extreme heat! Plus, I don't have to leave my job and family and friends...yet.

Here are a few reasons we're so excited about it...

Another Eventful Week

We have had a very busy July! My Mom's birthday was last week, so we all got together to make her sunday dinner for her. (although she did sneak in the kitchen to try to help- A LOT!)
Luckily Grandma could make her a Mystery Cake.

We threw my cousin Marianne a baby shower. She's due to have baby Camden in about a month. Her mom, Leslie, is next to her, in case you were wondering.
Neil and I spent some quality time together down in Saint George. We were welcomed by this yucky thing! (this was our 4th scorpion encounter, but only the 2nd inside the house and the other 2 we've seen were dead in the pool).
We went out for some killer cupcakes at 25 main. Everything there is soooo great! I highly recommend eating here- even if it's just dessert.
Can ya tell I loved it!?
My mom saw something on the news about this "restaurant" so we tried it out. It is by far the smallest place I have ever been- their maximum occupancy is 14 people! There were only 3 tables inside plus the counter and if you look closely at the picture on the far left you can see a grill- that is where they cook everything. A little weird, but worth trying.
So there ya have it. One more week of summer has flown by!

S'mores

We made a bonfire this weekend to roast hot dogs and make s'mores.  Before I get to those pictures,  i thought I'd put these funny/sad pictures of kitty Bruce with his cast.

Kitty Bruce is Missy's cat and I don't know how he broke his leg so bad, but it was completely shattered!  They put this funny little cast on his leg and I guess they wrote get well soon on it.  I don't know who else would've been able to make him hold still to write on it.

Plus he has a funny hair cut again.

Here's Alex and Neil.  If they look a little sweaty, it's because we started the fire kind of early  because we were starving, so it was extra hot when we were roasting out hotdogs.

Kelsey had the babies on the lawn so they wouldn't get close to the

fire.  I liked this picture because Brinley kept kissing Tyce!

Tyce is seriously eye-balling his mom's hot dog!  The picture is fuzzy because Aaron kept walking towards us while taking pictures and we didn't know when he was taking them : )

Me and Neil.

After we had eaten several hot dogs and way too many s'mores, we came inside for a midnight snack of fresh raspberry shakes!  Everything was so delicious that night!

Most of the words aren't by the right pictures (obviously), but you get the idea...

"He was a ruh-tard"

We finally went and saw The Hangover last night and I am still laughing hysterically about this part of the movie!

July 9, 2009

We have had a really fun and busy week this week. Here's a bit of what went on.
Tuesday the majority of my family went out to El Matador to celebrate my Mom's birthday. We were only missing 7 people I think.
Me, Mom, Stefanie, John, McCord, Nick, Jessie and Brody went to the drive-in to see Dawn of the Dinosaurs.
Here's me and my mom.
Nick, McCord, Jessie, and Brody. McCord is so in love with Dinos and knows so many of their names- it's so cute to hear him say some of the really long and weird ones.
Nick and Cord
My cousin got married this week too.
Derek and Alyssa's first dance.
It was a really pretty reception and I love weddings, so I was extra glad I got to go.

Taymanator

My youngest brother Taylor had his 21st birthday last week!
We went out to Takashi for sushi to celebrate on his birthday. It was delicious and way fun!

Of course, we also had his Sunday party with the whole family.
He had yummy Boston Cream Pie as his cake.
It was amazing!

From Left to Right we've got: Liv, Tay, Ethan, Lindsay, Alex, Max, and McCord.

Happy B-day TAY!

We love you!!

4th of July Festivities

We had an awesome 4th of July weekend.
Don, as you can see, had a GREAT time at the Kaysville parade.
Alex loved running around in the road.

Here's Mom w/ Lindsay, John w/ Dane, and Jill w/ Reagan.

Calls and Daners.  Stefanie's darling mom brought paints for the kids faces- they all looked so cute!
Pops and Lala with Reagan, Tinky, Lulu, Ethan, and Alex
We also went swimming with Missy, Brin, and Aaron at the sweetest pool with such an incredible view over Ogden.
Here we all are.
And lastly, Neil and I went to the Kaysville fireworks with friends and family.  I heard Layton's were better though- Oh well!

Guess Who Turned TWO!?

My niece and nephews turned 2 today! They are beyond adorable and SO MUCH FUN! Shelley (my sister) made them each a Pablo cake (from Backyardigans- if you didn't know) and my Mom and I went over to help decorate them last night.
It was a TON of work!
They got a Pablo Pinata too :)
The finished product (after many, many hours)
The kids loved the Pablo cakes...
They could hardly wait to dig in!
Happy Birthday Ethan, Alex, and Lindsay!!! We LOVE you!
