Christensen Celebration

This weekend we had a very fun Christensen Christmas party. It started with some competitive volleyball (I know we all look nice in these pictures but Neil actually got a sprained ankle from our vicious game!)
See the intensity on their faces?!
Uncle Ta
Max and Liv making the coolest ornaments!
The Young fam (minus Alex)
My mom and Lindsay
We had an awesome dinner and great entertainment too! I have a very fun family!

Big H

Earlier this week we went with the Johnson family to Hires for the traditional dinner and Temple Square lights. It was much too cold for the temple lights, so we just had a great dinner of Big H's and headed home.

Here's some random pics from that night.

We were also able to get together with some of our best friends who we don't see as often as before due to babies, work, holidays, etc. We took a picture at Pier 49 just because our get togethers don't happen like they used to!

Ballet West Field Trip

Today I got to take all the dance classes on a field trip to see The Nutcracker down in Salt Lake. It was so fun and such a great performance!~
Here's some pictures of the girls that came (and the 5 boys that came too!)
This is Jeni (aka Mrs. Land) who I do a ton of stuff with. We both teach the theater classes, we do pep squad together, and we're doing the school musical together too.

The bus ride actually wasn't too horrible! (this picture isn't the whole group, we took 70 kids) Luckily, it had just stopped snowing when we left so we didn't have to drive 20 mph the whole way there!

December 4, 2009

Last night my parents were tending Max and Livvie when we went over for dinner. We played a few games with them and had a blast!
They go to a charter school and they always look so freaking cute in their little uniforms. I just love em!
Later that night, Neil and I went over to Shelley and Sean's to help them put up a shelf and bring in their Christmas tree. Ethan and Alex wanted to help with EVERYTHING (even though they were supposed to be in bed)

The kids LOVED their Christmas tree when they saw it get put up. It was so fun to see them get so excited. Ethan started to decorate it with his books.
It was a very fun night with all my nieces and nephews that live around us.

YIPPEE!!

Neil and I FINALLY bought our tickets for Disney World!

I can't even get over how much fun it is going to be!
I may actually wet my pants from the excitement...

Anybody wanna come with us!?

November 25, 2009

This week we celebrated Neil's Dad's birthday. He turned 59 and Grandma Lyril had everyone over to her house for a party.
Dawn made this way yummy pumpkin chocolate cake!
Neil and I took Lindsay to Toys R Us this week so she could pick out a Christmas present. She spent a lot of time in the doll section and the Thomas section, but once she found the cars, she didn't care about anything else.

New Moon x 2

Me, 2 of my sisters, and my mom got to go see New Moon on Thursday AND Friday :)
Thursday was especially awesome because we got to go for FREE and we were 1st in line! An oral surgeon that my Dad is good friends with (and refers patients to) bought out a theater and paid for it to show at 9:30 instead of midnight! I think I saw about 50 of my students waiting in line for the midnight showing.

Then we went again on Friday night- I didn't take any pictures until we were leaving and Berrie wanted a picture with the Chipmunks to show her kids.
I have to say, I liked the film better the second time because I could understand what Edward and Bella were saying a little better (they're such mumblers!)

Chocolate Chip/Grape Cookies!?

This is just a picture I liked of Neil with Reagan and Tinkerbell last weekend.
My dad LOVES eating really bizarre things. He always loves to surprise us with random things he puts into whatever he's making. For instance, he makes pancakes on Tuesday nights and I've had everything from M&M's to Froot Loops in my pancakes.
Recently he's discovered putting grapes with brownies and cookies and he makes everyone try them :)
Here's some pictures of his chocolate chip grape cookies.

They actually are pretty yummy.

He took these to a church thing last weekend and won a prize for best dessert!
He was pretty shocked!
My dad's so funny!

Gym GNO

Last night I went out with a few of my gym friends. We had planned to go to Rooster's in Ogden and then to Wise Guys comedy club.
Rooster's was great, but the "comedian" at Wise Guys was a hypnotist and it sucked really, really bad!
We snuck out of that pretty early (but not early enough!) and just headed across the street to talk and hang out at Brewskies.

It's Allison's birthday on Thursday, so they brought her some bread pudding. Lucky for the rest of us- she doesn't eat any sugar, so we got to chow down on it :) It was way yummy!

No more pretty leaves

Neil and I went up hiking again yesterday, but all the leaves were dead and had fallen off the trees. There were no beautiful leaves to take pictures of.
I did run into my aunt on the trail, and she is beautiful, but I didn't take a picture. Sorry...

Neil's nephew Lewis turned 4 this week.
This is Lewis (on the left) and another nephew, Beck. Beck LOVED his halloween costume this year!
Lewis and his big brother Henry.
Opening presents
I thought he looked so cute displaying his books!
Blake's girlfriend Shannon (LOVE her!!) and the baby brother of Lewis, William.
Happy 4th birthday Lew!

Halloween PARTY(ies)

This year, we had tons of Halloween fun! For some reason, we had a plethora of parties to attend!
A few people dressed up at the gym, I wore the same outfit I wore last year to the gym on Halloween (I was too busy this week to get creative).

Me, Tink, and E
Pops and Dorothy
The Lion, Dorothy, and the Tin Man.
Alex, Sean, Ethan
We went to the Team Edward/Team Jacob corn maize in Syracuse. It was freezing!!!
We dressed up as Hermione Granger (from Harry Potter) and Duffman (from The Simpson's) but my mom called me Whore-mione Granger
Livvie, Tink, Max, and Nicholas
Tink wanted "mermaid hair" like mine :)

The Ralph kiddies

Kacey (the cowgirl) is the one who invited us to this party at an indoor soccer place. Her husband is Dave and is the perfect clown!
Here's the boys from our group that night. I especially want to point out that right before we took this picture, both Dave (the clown) and Sal (the viking) had tried to use the restroom and ended up with pee all over themselves! Look closely at Sal's right leg!!
This is a party with people from Legacy Junior High. All the ladies in the group are teachers with me plus Ryan (on the far left) also works with us. I think his wife might have been taking the picture?
Duffman won Most Original Costume!
Kacey and Annie's husband, Chris both dressed as Cowboys, so they won best couple- even though they're not a couple.
We actually had another party to go to as well, but we got too cold and worn out that we bailed on the last event.
We had a lot of fun, but don't worry- I FINALLY realized that I am not 17 anymore and I need to start finding costumes that fit! Sad but true.
