August b-days

August is a pretty busy month for a lot of reasons. One thing that kept us busy was birthday parties.

Blake's party was a going away party and a birthday party. He moved to Vancouver August 18 for film school and his birthday is in September, so we just did a double celebration.
Lots of family and friends came over to wish him luck.

I like this picture because Blake is sitting on my lap.
Dawn, Blake, and Pat. Pat actually wrote those words on the cake- I was very impressed, I know I couldn't do that! It says Happy- V.F.S (meaning Vancouver Film School) Birthday Blake!!
Lighting 30 candles on 1 of the 3 cakes we had there.
Opening presents.

We went to Max and Livvie's birthday party, of course.

All the kids in line for their snow cone.

Here's Ethan sharing his snow cone with Pops.

Lou sharing with Tay Tay.

Max on his new skateboard.

Alex on Max's new skateboard.

Livvie, LaLa, and Tinkerbell

Chef Jeff

Ethan, Me, and Lindsay in the bounce house.

At the beginning of August, it was Tyce's 2nd birthday.

Tyce and Brinley.

Tyce and Brin playing with the cotton candy machine- I LOVE cotton candy~

We had a party for my Grandma's birthday on Thursday, but I was at school and no one else even took any pictures for me to steal!!

Thanks everyone, for letting us crash your parties and eat all your good food!

Breathe Easy

This weekend, we had Kelsey come over to my parents house for some grooming/entertainment. We got our nostrils waxed. We'd done this before and thought it was hilarious AND useful, so we wanted to do it again.
Here's Kelsey getting the wax up Neil's nose with the popsicle stick.

Me and Neil with the wax hardening. The boys all needed some sort of barrier so the wax wouldn't pull out their mustaches.

Taylor thought an American flag bandaid would be a good barrier (it wasn't).

Alex with his wax and post-it note barrier.

Kelsey just pulled that out of my nose. Cool huh!?

It actually doesn't hurt when she pulls the wax out, but by the look on Neil's face here, you'd think it was torture!

Taylor's extraction, he won the hairiest nostril competition. (Well, it was hard to decide who was the winner between him and my dad)

Tay making sure the wax didn't run out of his nose while it hardened... Plus, he's reading the friend- which is pretty hilarious.

Tay, Dad, Me, Jill, and Neil with our wax hanging out of our noses.
Like I said before, it really doesn't hurt and you'd be surprised how much better you can breathe without nose hair!!

End of Summer

Well, it's back to school tomorrow. I definitely love my job and I'm excited to go back, but I can't say it didn't feel like summer was only about 2 weeks long! This last week of summer, we tried to pack a few more fun things in.
We went up to Pineview with Neil's family.
We were over by the rope swing and we had a lot of fun on that!
Lewis
Aidan

Neil had to help William.
I took a couple turns too.

Pat, Ryan, Leah (and baby Lola inside), William, Kurt, Mary, and Monica.

Neil and the kids went tubing. I got on for about 3 minutes, but decided it was way too windy and choppy for me!

I got together with some girlfriends for dinner. Me and Nique.
Michelle, Britt, and Brianne.

Max, Liv, and I took our last trip to Lagoon.

Max is so brave and he always wants to go on the rides by himself!
Now it's back to full time work and school!

Rocket Ralph

So, pretty much the day after Berrie and Jeff got their puppy, Jill and Don bought one! Since they live in Elko, I haven't seen him, but I stole this adorable pics from Jill's facebook.
I am in LOVE with this picture of Reagan and Rocket.

Tinky kissing Rocket (I'll never understand how a human could kiss a dog!)

Nick and rocket cuddling.

This is probably the ONLY time he hasn't been held by someone!
Pretty freakin cute!

Tuff Puppy

My sister's family bought a dog last week! This seems so weird to me because my family has NEVER had a dog, we're just not dog people. I guess some of my siblings have somehow turned into "dog people." I don't get it. Max and Livvie decided to call the dog Tuff.

Puppies are always cute though, so it was fun to meet the puppy when he was being babysat at my parents house (I seriously can't believe my mom let him in the house!)
My dad letting him out to make sure he didn't poop inside.
Tuff is 3/4 English Bulldog and 1/4 Beagle.

Berrie and her new baby!

Neil has been wanting an English Bulldog for a really long time!

Poor little guy, he misses his mom and she's all the way in Missouri. It was so sad to hear him cry! Doesn't his face look sad? Maybe that's just the way his face is though.

August 13, 2010

There's been a lot going on lately and I haven't been blogging it very well, so here's a bit of a catch up.
Max and Liv were in a cute little Peter Pan play up in North Ogden. Livvie was a lost kid and she had another part too, but I don't remember what it was. She's the one in the middle.

Max had the part of Michael, he's in the red bandana.

Max and Liv are the 2nd and 3rd kids from the left. They did such a good job and remembered their lines really well!

We took the kids on the little train in Farmington, which we do at least once each year because it's so much fun.
Shelley, Lindsay, Reagan, Tinkerbell, and Nicholas.

Tink, Me, and Shelley getting ready to go.

Both Reagan and Lindsay wanted to sit with Pops.

Nick, Alex, Ethan, and Sean. We had as many adults on the train as we did kids.

Tinky and LaLa.

Tink and LaLa again, but not in the station this time :)

After the train, we went swimming down at aunt CoCo's again. Here's Jeff, Tink, Liv, Reags, Nick, Max, and Don in the hot tub.

Me, Berrie and Jill.

Tink and Liv walking around in flippers- I'm surprised they didn't get hurt in those things!

CoCo has all the coolest toys at her house. This ball was a blast for all the kids! You could fit 4 or 5 of them in there at once.

Max and Nick

We went to Bountiful one day for something called Summerfest I think. I didn't think it was fun at all, but everyone else seemed to enjoy it.
Reagie getting a Hello Kitty painted on her cheek.

Here's everyone watching the performers that were there.
They had real Spanish Troubadours as one of the performers.
And I think these were traditional Mongolian singers. I don't' know, I left about 2 minutes into the introduction.
And lastly, I just really loved this picture of Lou wearing her brothers dino unders. That girl is so hilarious!
