Jazz Game

Our last night in Utah, we got to take my parent's Jazz tickets.  Really, it was a ploy so they could have the baby to themselves a little longer, but we definitely benefitted as well!

We had a great date night!  We took this picture like 10-15 minutes before tipoff and it was still empty!

Big T Bailey sat on the row in front of us for quite a while!  He was really nice to the clumsy kid behind him who spilled his drink, shattered his phone, and fell off his chair  (those were 3 separate events!)

The next morning, we got up and headed home to Texas where we'll stay for about 2 1/2 weeks before coming back to Utah again :D
This was the first time all 3 of us got to fly together.

We took an early flight which meant that Bear didn't get his morning nap.  He was so exhausted and finally fell asleep after we landed and were pulling up to the gate.  Poor little guy.  He fell asleep again in the baby bjorn for another 2 minutes after we got our luggage.  Had about a 20 minute nap in his crib when we got home and then fell asleep again when we went for a walk in the stroller.  That time he was out!  He slept in the stroller for probably 2 hours when I woke him up to give him dinner and put him back to bed.  It was a very odd sleeping day for a kid who is on a strict sleeping schedule and literally hasn't slept anywhere but his crib for probably 6 months!

It was a little weird coming back to my Texas house after being gone for 6 weeks.  I couldn't remember where to find things I was looking for or where to put my things away.  The best part of coming back is that we came back to 70 degree weather!

Growing Boy

On Monday, we went in for Barrett's 12 month well baby check up.

Here's my beautiful boy's stats:

Height: 30.08 inches:  61st %

Weight: 22 lbs .5 oz:  38th %

Head circumference: 47.5 cm: 81st %
And he has 12 teeth!

The Year of the Bear

My tiny little man turned 1 this week and I can't even believe how fast it all flew by.

This is Barrett and I the day he was born.  That day changed my life for the better in so many ways.  

I took a picture of Barrett every month to see how he was changing and growing.  This is him on his 1 month birthday (Christmas).

2 months. By the second month, I decided to try to take the same picture each time so I could see him growing more easily.

3 Months.  Decided to take his pictures next to this blue teddy bear that Grandma GiGi gave him.

4 months.

5 months.

6 months.

7 months.

8 months.

9 months (in Texas).

10 months (in Texas).

11 months (at Pops and LaLa's).

12 months (at Pops and LaLa's).

I couldn't imagine life without this perfect little bug!

Happy Birthday Baby Bear

On Sunday, Barrett turned 1 year old!  I may have cried several times that day and the day before about the fact that he's getting so big so fast, but really, it was a GREAT day!

He loved his balloons.

And he did so good at opening his presents by himself!

He got a lot of really fun toys!

Let's back up to Saturday for a minute so you can see some of the hard work that went into Barrett's cakes!  I'm not even kidding when I say I was working on these things from about 9:30 am til at least 5:30 pm!  That's why I'm still in my jammies in these pictures!

Singing Happy Birthday

More party people.  I was going to either do little bear faces on the cupcakes or paw prints, but I just ran out of time, so they just got frosted plain (but were still delicious!)

Bear didn't really smash his little cake.  He just picked little pieces off very politely.  I helped him to grab that ear that's missing or he wouldn't have even made that big of a mess.

Even though we told our guests they did not need to bring anything, Barrett got some really great presents!
Jill's family gave him this cute little baby boy and he loves it!

He got some other really cute toys and clothes too!  Spoiled little guy!

It was such a fun day for Barrett and I know he was so glad that he got to spend it in Utah with his family!!

Crafty

The kids have been having a ton of fun making these cute little pot holders. They've all worked really hard on them and they turned out so good!

3 Baby Boys

These three baby boys are all growing up too fast!  It's a shame they don't get to play together very often (and an even bigger shame that I don't get to see their moms!)

This was the best picture I could get of Zeek, Barrett, and Elias all together.

I love this one because both boys are looking at each other like, "What the...? How'd you get up here!?"

It's obviously really difficult to get all 3 of them looking at the camera! 3 smiles would be a freaking miracle!
