Last Weekend

We decided to go down to the St. George House last weekend for a little getaway with a few of Neil's old high school buddies and their wives. It was a very relaxed trip- which made it especially fun.
We literally spent all of Saturday in the pool. Here's me, Chelsey, and Chantel.

Chelsey, Sheena, Addison, Kaydence, Neil, and Jonny. (Addison is in the pink tube and Kaydence is in the hippo tube thing by Sheena)
Sheena w/ Kaydence, Neil and McCall, Chelsey and Kevin. And Addison in the back.
The only picture we have of the whole group that went. Starting on the left: Kevin & Chelsey Hale, Sheena, Addison & Jonny Johansen (Kaydence was there too), McCall & Neil Johnson, and Jared & Chantel Jeppsen.
It was a very quick trip, but LOTS of FUN!

Yay Neil!

Yesterday Neil turned 27! He came home from work and got to open a few presents (pretty much just clothes). Here's Neil opening a surprise present.

Neil with one of his new dress shirts (I love that the Nordstrom Half Yearly Sale is always near his birthday, it is so convenient!)
Neil wanted to go out for sushi for dinner so we went with Kelsey and Alex to Tepanyaki. It was really, really delicious! I'd recommend the sunshine roll!
They even brought him an ice cream sundae! It was good, but we still had to hit up Baskin Robbins for a little more sugar and fat :)
Happy Birthday baby!

H1N1 Virus

We found out today that my little brother has H1N1, better known as THE SWINE FLU!!!
I wanted to quarantine him with baby gates, but we didn't have any. Instead he's just confined to the master chair with a sheet over it.
Thanks to my Dad, we have an abundant supply of masks and rubber gloves. We'll all be covered up for the next little while!

Get well soon, Tay!

Neil's Birthday Dinner

Since next Sunday is Father's Day, we decided to have Neil's birthday dinner today. It was delicious, he requested "Cindy Badger-Santa Fe-Newport Beach Soup," homemade rolls and homemade ice cream. My mom remembered that Neil like lemon cake so she found a recipe and made him a beautiful cake too!
Here's Neil with Livvie, Lindsay, and Maxwell.
Same group, singing Happy Birthday
Still the same group, this time licking the candles.
And then Lindsay feeding herself ice cream. She didn't make too big of a mess either!

Bed Head

This is my niece Reagan after a nap a few weeks ago.  I'm guessing her nap was filled with some serious tossing and/or turning!

This is almost as bad as Michelle's hilarious bed head (you should post a pic on your blog of your morning hair Michelle Kelly Noel, that would be awesome!).

Perma-Shirt

I'm working for my Dad again over summer break, so I have 2 real days of summer (with no work or anything else to do) per week.  Today was my first day of summer and I got surprised with this lovely sun burn.  If any of you happened to look outside you would have noticed that it was cloudy ALL DAY!  Because it was cloudy and I was only going to be in the yard for a couple hours, I didn't bother with the sunscreen.  I'm always so good about putting on sunscreen and the one day that I don't think I need it- I get a perma-shirt.  I don't know how I'm going to get rid of this hideous thing.
Maybe if I go tanning, the white part will burn and will match the rest of my back.
Oh- I also have a nice stripe of red on my lower back where my love handles were hanging out while I was gardening... that makes me feel good!

Air Force Week

We got to go to the Air Show this weekend too.  It was especially awesome because Joe was being honored by the Thunderbirds for all the work he's done on the planes and all his accomplishments.  He's a Thunderbird maintenance captain I think.  We got to meet all the Thunderbird pilots and we got cool thunderbird pins and we got to see the show from the VIP section :)
This picture is Joe, Courtney, and the #1 Thunderbird pilot.
Joe wanted to honor Courtney's mom and stepdad by giving them this incredible picture- Court's mom bursted into tears (it was a little bit funny, but very sweet)  the #1 Pilot is in this picture too with Joe, Scott, and Pat.
His name is on the Thunderbird- how incredible is that!?  He should get to keep the plane, I think!
And what's an air show with out a beer- right, Court?!?
Group photo- from l to r: (newlyweds) Jesse & Jeanette, Kelsey, Tyce, & Alex, Courtney, Camri, & Joe, Neil & McCall, Missy & Brin.
Here are some pictures of the amazing show!

Thanks Courtney and Joe for letting us crash your incredible party!!!

Last Day of School

Friday was my last day at West Point Jr. High.  I'm glad it's summer, but I am so sad I won't be at West Point again next year.  I had the BEST Principal and Assistant Principals in the WHOLE WORLD!!  I'll be going to the brand new jr. high in west Layton, which is very exciting, but I'm still a little worried about the change.  Luckily my good friend Nicole is going to the new school with me, so we're both really glad and relieved about that!
I took a picture of one of my favorite classes on the last day of school- they're so darling!
Since I was so sad after school, I went to go play with these little guys to cheer me up.  Sean bought 5 new big wheels for the kids and they are in heaven!
Here's Alex on Lightening McQueen
Ethan on his Lightening McQueen
Lindsay on her "1970's" Big Wheel
You may be wondering, "if they only have 3 kids, why did they buy 5 big wheels?"  Well, when Sean went to Target the other night they only had 3 big wheels left, 1 lightening McQueen, 1 girl "circa 1970's" Big Wheel and 1 boy "circa 1970's" Big Wheel, so he just bought them all.
Of course, they all want the one that makes noise and lights up but he had spent way too much time putting them together already, so he wasn't about to return them.  The next day, he went to a different target and got 1 more Lightening McQueen bike and 1 Little Mermaid bike- now they have a variety to choose from and no one has to fight :)

Fishing (The Easy Way)

Yesterday we went to the trout farm in Ogden with some of Neil's family.  It was surprisingly fun- I hadn't been there since I was probably 10 or so.
Here's Henry holding one of the 4 fish he caught.  It was hilarious to see him try to pick it up!
Here's most of the group that went.
Me with 1 of the fish I caught!
Aidan-he caught a ton of fish.
Me again.
Kurt got fish poop all over him.
Leah wanted to show Aidan how to clean a fish; it was disgusting!  Aidan didn't want to touch it at all!
Neil with one of his catches
Stella is in the blue tank, she's Neil's sister.  I don't know how well you can see it in this picture, but Stella's kids HATED fishing!  Beck (in the red) kept saying the fish were "dangerous", and Ava (in the black shirt) would cry every time some one killed a fish.  It was pretty funny.
Here's Neil's sister Leah catching one and her little boy Aidan who really wanted to get one with his hands.
Neil's other fish.  We only caught 2 each because we didn't want to pay for more and I'm not going to eat them so we didn't want to waste.
Kurt, Louis, and Papa.  Louis caught 4 fish too!
I didn't think it would still be fun to fish, but when you know you're going to catch something, it makes it pretty fun!

Livvie's Gymnastics

Yesterday Liv had her gymnastics show. It was really fun to go and see her, she was so excited to see all of us at her "recital."
Here she is.
One of my favorite parts of gymnastics is the permanent wedgies that everyone has! Sean said, "Livvie has a wedgie McCall would be proud of." It's funny cause it's true :)

Jeff and Liv
Lins, Alex, and Max on one of the trampolines.
Livvie's the one to the left (somersaulting down the ramp)
On the beam
Alex on the bars

It looked like a cute little gymnastics place, but I would kill myself if I had to work there with that many crazy little kids!
