Fresh Ink

Neil has been out of town this week and got home tonight. I always love a good April Fools joke and I'd been struggling to figure out something to do to anyone!
Finally, I decided that I would draw something on me and see if I could trick Neil into thinking I got a new tattoo while he was gone. (Originally I asked the art teacher to draw something but she said no so I was on my own!)
When he came home I told him I was going to show him something but he couldn't get mad. I showed him my "tattoo" but he definitely wasn't fooled. I can't say I'm surprised because it obviously doesn't look real, but I was still hoping that he'd fall for it due to jet lag or something.
I'll get him next year...

mmmmm.... Market Street

The other night, my mom and I went down to Market Street to have dinner with Taylor.
Market Street is one of my Favorite restaurants and it was so fun to be with Tay and mom!
Clam Chowder, Alaskan King Crab Legs, and Creme Brulee is the best way to spend a Tuesday night!

Baby Carter

My old friend BJ and her husband blessed their darling baby boy on Sunday.
Here's me and Bean.

Brock, Bonnie, and cute little Carter. I decided just to take pictures while others were taking their picture so that I wasn't quite so annoying.

Me, Breanne, and Bonnie. We were together nonstop during the summer of 2001- they're so darling and so much fun! I wish I saw them more often.
I didn't get to hold Carter, which I was totally bummed about, but that's just a good excuse to go hang out with BJ again sometime!

Giant Check

Yesterday at school one of my friends got a GIANT CHECK- just like in the movies!! I was so excited for her and really jealous too! Did you know that you can't really cash those? I had no idea, but it's not a real check, just a pretend one. Anyways, Congratulations Nancy!

We also went out to an ice cream place in Centerville that is kind of fun. It's called Sub Zero and they make the ice cream with Liquid Nitrogen right in front of you.
Tyce LOVED all the smoke as they were making the ice cream. I still think Cold Stone is better, but everything is worth trying at least once if you ask me!

Last week was Jeanette's birthday so we got together for dinner at Thaifoon to celebrate.
It was very yummy but there's not really anymore to this story...

Life has been extraordinarily boring lately. Neil's been out of town and I've been staying late at school. Nothing of blogging importance, unfortunately.

Dinner Date

Monday night we went out to dinner with my parents, my Grandma CC, Shelley, Sean, and their kids. We went to chuck-a-rama and we all left feeling really gross!
Here's Seany and Lindsay

Pops and Alexander

CC, Shel, and Lou

I LOVED this picture of E

Sean, Ethan and Alex

Me and Ethan. He was so excited about that ham! Actually, he was pretty excited about everything.

I don't think I'll be going to Chuck-a-Rama for a while. It gave me the worst tummyache AND headache!

Last night, my parents took all the little girls to Disney on Ice.
Here's my mom, Tink, and Reagan

Reag and Liv

Lindsay getting dressed up

Ethan dressed up as Buzz Lightyear (he didn't go to the show though)

I liked this picture of 4 generations with my Grandma Colleen, my mom LeeAnn, my sister Jill, and her girls Whitney and Reagan.

Mary's Blessing

On Sunday, Neil's niece Mary got blessed. We had only seen her once since she was born because I got sick afterwards and couldn't go around babies. She's changed so much in the last couple of months!
This is Blake, Shannon, Mary, me, and Neil
Me with Ava and Mary. Ava is the only other girl out of the grandkids on the Johnson side, so she was so excited when Mary was born.

Princess Party in Elko

On Friday, I drove to Elko, Nevada to go visit my sister Jill and her family. Reagan and Tinkerbell had birthdays this week so we went to celebrate and go to their Princess Party. (FYI Tink's real name is Whitney, but we've called her Tinkerbell since before she was even born)

On the way there, Me and Berrie, Max and Livvie (it was a LONG drive!)
Jill made the girls this darling Fairy tent. I couldn't believe how freaking cute it was!
Here's Lala cuddling with Reags, Liv, and Tinky in the morning (very early in the morning I might add. I don't know why kids don't like to sleep)
Before the party, the girls and I painted our nails.
Me and Reagan

(My Mom had just put a cookie in my mouth and then my dad took this picture)

When the Princesses all arrived for the party, they got to make cute sparkle butterflies, we did their make up, and they went on a treasure hunt. (My sister seriously goes all out for these things- it was amazing!)

All the adorable princesses. I wanted to take them home with me!

Here's Reagan's princess cake. Tink had the cutest barbie mermaid cake, but the picture wouldn't upload!

Nick and Don just had their Pinewood Derby race, so here's a picture of the cars that Jill painted for them.
Nick was so proud!

I had to take a picture of this sign on Jill's door because I am STILL laughing really hard about it. I told her it's spelled wrong and she said she knows but she doesn't know how to spell it right so she's leaving it like that. She's so funny!
Happy 3rd birthday Reagan Elizabeth and 5th birthday Whitney Ann! Thanks for letting us come to your party!

National Academic League

I am the "mentor" for the National Academic League team at my school. We just ended our season and we had so much fun! It was especially great because I got to teach an NAL class first semester so we had a lot of time to prepare for our games. The games are after school for 7 weeks during 2nd semester and we had after school practices too. We've all been really busy with this, but it was so worth it!
Here's a bunch of pictures of my darling team, some pictures are of home games and some are away.
This is my 3rd quarter team: the Presentation quarter.

1st quarter
At Mueller Park Junior High.

3rd Quarter again.
4th Quarter
This was our FIRST win! We were so freaking excited!

We got to have 2 really fun parties this week to celebrate our wins and all the hard work the kids put into the season.
One of the kids' grandma's threw us a party on Monday. The kids had to answer a riddle and once they did, they could come and make an ice cream sundae.

Enjoying the ice cream and watching the other kids try to earn theirs.

Then, just yesterday I put together a game versus some of the willing teachers at my school. It was so stressful for me, but it was RIDICULOUSLY fun!

My team

Teachers, again

My team getting ready for 2nd quarter (the team problem solving quarter)

My kids again, 4th quarter (aka the fast and furious round)

My Awesome NAL team won the teachers by 1 point! It was great!!
After we won the teachers, we had a pizza party. These kids are so freaking awesome, I can't even get over it!
PS I guess I should explain a little of what NAL is (since I know no one has any clue!). NAL is basically like Quiz Bowl, Mathletes, or Are You Smarter Than a Fifth Grader. There are 4 different quarters and the kids are asked completely random questions from about 20 different subjects. The levels of questions go from 6th grade to 12th grade and some of them are REALLY hard. It's kind of hard to explain, but basically, it's smart kids competing against other smart kids from different schools :)

Where You Going With My Shirt?

No one will enjoy this but my family, but nonetheless...
I had to tell this story because I NEVER want to forget it. My nephew Max is one of the most hilarious kids I know!
This story involves Kyle (shown here)
And Max (Shown Here)

Kyle is Berrie's friend and coworker at Walgreen's Pharmacy. Kyle was living with Berrie, Jeff, Max, and Liv for a few weeks last year and that is when this story takes place. Kyle was sleeping up in the playroom but his clothes were hung up in Max's closet.
One morning, Kyle goes to get one of his shirts out of Max's closet so he could get ready for work. Max is lying in bed when he sees Kyle get in his closet. So Max goes,
"Hey, Where you going with my shirt?!"
Kyle: This is my shirt
Max: Well, It's in my closet
Kyle: It's not even your size
Max: If it came out of my closet, it's my shirt.

They argued back and forth for a while and You have to keep in mind that both Kyle and Max were dead serious, neither of them thought it was funny at all, they both really wanted that shirt!
