Labor Day Weekend

Our Labor Day weekend was great because we got to spend it with our family.

Soccer season has officially begun, so we went to a few games on Saturday.  We got to see E and Ali play and Reagan too.

We finally got to go see Liv's hedgehog, Thistle.  She got her for her birthday last month and I'm surprised Tuff hasn't eaten her yet!  (Tuff is their big fat bulldog)  Bear didn't like her too much because she was pokey.  It was really cute to here him say pokey and hedgehog.  He says so much now, I'm always amazed!

I thought she was cute!  I think I'm allergic to her though because everywhere she crawled on my arms, I got swollen, red, itchy bumps.

We got to go run around in Grandma and Papa's gym too. Bear had a blast with all the toys there and was interested in his echo as well.

It got even more fun when Grandma drove the cars with Bear!

We finished our long weekend with a yummy bbq and Livvie's really fun science project!  She was making a model of a cell out of play doh and we all wanted to get involved.

MORE Water Fun!

We've just had the funnest summer!  I feel like we're so lucky to get to be around so many friends and family members!  The sad thing for us is that all of Bear's cousins and friends are starting back to school and daycare, so even though summer technically isn't over for us, it is for all our buddies :(

Last week, we went over to Jill's house for a little while to run through the sprinklers and just play outside.

Bear also had his first bubble bath last week.  He was so excited and has been asking for bubbles ever since!

We got to go to Roy Aquatic Center this week with Nicole, Eli, Zeek, and Kacey.  I wish we would've discovered this place sooner- it's really cool!

Bear was loving the slide until he bonked his head and then he wouldn't go down it the rest of the time!

We went back up to play in the sand the other day too and Bear had a great time.

Yesterday my grandma turned 85 years old!  We had one of her birthday dinners at our house on Sunday.

And another on Monday at Connie and Craig's.

She is the best and as you can see in the top picture, Bear just adores her!  He asks about her several times a day!

Merry Christmas

Yesterday we had a Christmas in August party with the Christensen side of our family.  Dan and Jan were throwing the party and they wanted to be able to have everyone come up and play outside in their yard which you generally don't want to do in December.  Plus December gets so busy for everyone, so the Christmas party was held just a few months early this year.  The weather was so crazy yesterday though and we had to move the party inside for half the time, but it all worked out.

Bear and Neil mostly just wanted to play on their phones.

The BEST part of the night was Clark's surprise entrance.  He's been on his mission in Mexico and we all thought he was arriving home next week, so when he walked through the door and hugged Grandma, it was so exciting!  And really sweet too- we pretty much all cried!

We finally got to go play outside.

They even had bounce houses!  Several of the kids played outside even in the rain!

Barrett's Little Buddy

Yesterday my mom was tending her neighbor's baby, Roger and Bear made a new friend.  He was so happy to have the baby there to play with all day long!  Roger was obsessed with Bear too- he followed him everywhere and just wanted to watch anything Barrett was doing.

Bear did really well having the baby over, but wasn't always crazy about sharing his toys.  He's almost 2 though, so what can you expect!?

His favorite part of Roger being over was we got out the pack n play again!  Bear was so excited to see it again and as soon as he got in it, he went right to his favorite spot like old times.

I know what you're thinking- Since Bear loves babies so much, we should give him a baby brother or sister.  Well, I couldn't agree more!  Maybe someday!

I Have Hot Friends

What's even better about them is that they are hilarious, nice, and SO FUN to be around!
I love getting together with my friends. Anytime I'm able to go play with my favorite girls we seriously have the best time!
I went out to dinner recently with Diane and Rachel.  We used to see Rachel all the time, but we haven't seen her in about 2 years, so it was so fun to catch up with her!

Just last night, the old LHS group got together and spent all night talking and laughing!

After we had been at dinner for 3 hours, Michelle had to go home, but the rest of us still wanted to party, so we went and got some frogurt and talked and laughed some more.

County Fair

We went to the county fair this weekend and we were pretty unimpressed.  Everyone was posting awesome pictures on Facebook and Instagram and saying how great it was, so we had some pretty high hopes.  Bear liked the animals, of course, so that was good.

The elephants were okay, but we knew Bear wouldn't want to wait in the long line to ride them, so we skipped that.  Plus, I rode elephants in Thailand and that was way cooler than these elephants going in a circle!

These baby animals were ridiculously cute.

The worst part was, I couldn't even find any deep fried goodness!  I was looking for some yummy fried Oreos or Twinkies or something and they didn't have any :(
