Ropes Course

Last Saturday, my friend from work Nicole invited me, Neil, and Kacey to come to the Ropes Course in Provo with her hiking group.
I don't think of myself as a tall person, but I look tall next to Nicole and Kacey.

This was the first course we did, we had to work as a team to get everyone across 5 or 6 low tightropes, it was tricky. Nicole and Neil are both in this pic.

Then we did the climbing wall. I'd never done any sort of rock climbing before so I really wanted to try this.

Nicole got to the top (all of us did, actually)

Kacey was amazing because she's actually really afraid of heights, but she went all the way up anyways. When Neil went, I was belaying (spelling?) him and the workers had to hold me on the ground so that neil and I both didn't go flying.

We did this really enormous and scary swing. Neil, Kacey, and Nicole all did flips, but I was hanging on for my life!
Neil did front flips and backflips!

Random pic of us

The next course was the scariest of all. You had to climb this huge totem pole, then get on the ledge and then jump to try to grab a ring hanging out in the middle.
I was super impressed that Kacey would do this one- it was super freaky! She's good at facing her fears!

Neil was the only person in our group to actually grab and hold onto the ring!

Me and Kacey

The last thing we did there was called the Eskimo Blanket. Everyone holds an edge of the "blanket" and then pulls at the same time so the person in the middle gets popped high in the air.

We got Nicole pretty dang high!
This is Laura Flanders, she's a friend that also just happened to be there too with the hiking group. We run into each other in the most random places! She was pretty freaked!
The Ropes Course was a great time and we were exhausted after 6 hours there. Go to one if you ever get the chance!

Guess Who Got Born?!

Kelsey and Alex Love had their baby girl, Rylee this morning!

They let me come visit them in the hospital and hold Rylee for about an hour- it was great! It seems like Kels and Rylee are both doing really well and they're hoping to go home tomorrow afternoon.

Yesterday I went to Max's soccer game- it's his first season playing! He is so cute and so fast! Jeff is coaching his team, which is so fun to watch.
Here's Jeff, Max, and one of Max's team mates. Max is the one standing up and looking adorable!

Max again

Half time break. He's so cute!

Oh- and it was Spirit week at Legacy this week. We had Duct Tape day, which was so fun to see because the kids go CRAZY with it and make complete outfits out of nothing but duct tape! I only made a few bracelets and rings.
We also had Blast from the Past day, which was right up my alley since I love to dress up! I went as a girl from the 50's (I hope that's obvious). Again, some of the kids looked so awesome in their blast from the past outfits!
Are you starting to see why I LOVE junior high!?

Dad's Surprise

I've posted before about how whenever my dad cooks, he adds a surprise ingredient.
While me, my mom and Shelley were at the hospital the other day, Dad made some brownies.
Here's Berrie, tasting to see if she can figure out what the surprise is.

I just thought this was a funny picture of the brownies because my dad told Neil to cut out of the middle instead of the sides.

Dad and his masterpiece. Any guesses what his surprise ingredient was?
It was grapes! He's been on a huge grape-kick for a while now. I posted here about his last grape recipe. The funniest part about it all, was when we got home from the hospital, Neil was taking out the garbage and said that there were about 50 grape peels in the garbage can. We were all confused and wondered who would've been eating peeled grapes. It all made sense once we ate the brownies.
Good surprise Dad!

Livvie worked very hard the other day building this train set and setting up a train so that it went all the way from the start to the end of the track.

Max and Liv went to the fair last week and got these cute Henna tattoos- I LOVE Henna!

Back Surgery

My Grandma Colleen had back surgery on Wednesday, so we went down to the hospital to hang out with her today.
Shelley and Mom (Shelley's on crutches for a fractured hip socket that she got from running!)

I had to wear a mask because I have a cold. This is me attempting to kiss Grandma goodbye through the mask.

Connie, Mom and Grandma. Grandma is healing really well- her doctor's and nurses are shocked that she's 82!

Since the room is so small, we had to take turns out in the waiting room. Here's Rand, Madison, and Scott waiting for their turn.

And Colter, Rand, and Madison again!
We're hoping CC will get to come home tomorrow!

On Your Mark...

Recently, the triplets have gotten really into racing people. Actually, they're into "beating people" They'll go up to anyone and say, "come on, I'm gonna beat you!"
First they wanted to beat Pops

Then it was La La's turn

Then it was me (and even though my mom didn't think I'd let them beat me, I DID!!)

Then Tay Tay

I'm not sure what got them into this racing stage, but it's pretty cute and very fun!

Rocket comes to Utah

Last time Jill and Don came home to Utah, they brought their puppy Rocket. I don't know how they talked my mom into letting Rocket stay at her house!

Me and Rocket

I don't think Rocket gets to be by himself very often, so I bet he's enjoying this a lot!

Labor Day Weekend

We decided to head down to the St. George house for Labor Day weekend with Kelsey, Alex, Missy, Aaron, and Brinley. I really didn't take too many pictures for some reason, probably because most of my time was spent sleeping.
One really BAD thing that happened while we were there was the jerky pool boy messed up the chemicals in the pool or something, but it TOTALLY ruined my newest (and most expensive) swimming suit! I was really pissed about that!
(I ordered a new swimsuit to replace this ruined one and just look at the crazy difference!)

We talked Kelsey into coming to Red Lobster (Missy, Aaron, and Brin were visiting Missy's brother Sam while we were out). I freaking LOVE crab and it's been forever since I've had it! Kelsey asked the waitress like 50 times to make sure there would be 0% seafood in her salad and soup!

The boys found this huge scorpion outside and killed it (which I was really glad about!)

The boys went to see this movie

And us girls went to this one...

I wish every weekend had an extra day in it!

Zac Poster

I've been so busy lately that I don't have time to do most of the things I like to do! I have a lot of blog posts I need to catch up on, but I'll start with a really quick one!
One of my students brought me in this cute poster that she made for me because she knows how much I love Zac Efron! Isn't that thoughtful?!

I have the best job and definitely the best students!!
