All The Fun I Miss

I love my job, but I love Barrett 1000x more! I still cry almost every time I have to drop him off at any of the babysitters houses! Luckily, I have the best babysitters ever who I can totally trust to take the very best care of Baby Bear. I especially love when they send pictures of my darling son!

NGA

On Saturday it was the NGA spring show and Neil and I went with some of our friends to see Allison and Ashley compete in figure. They both did so well and looked incredible!!!

Allison took 2nd place!

Ashley took 1st place and it was her very first show! AMAZING!

I almost bailed because I woke up with my 5th breast infection that morning and really just wanted to stay in bed all day! I had already bought the tickets and really wanted to see my girls compete, so I went feeling crappy but I'm glad I did!

Birthday Days

Last week was my 28th birthday! I may have cried a time or two about the fact that I am that old now! We generally go out for a nice birthday dinner for our birthdays, but when I was thinking about where I wanted to go, 1 place kept popping in my head... TACO BELL! The thing about it is, I always want to go there and Neil never does but he couldn't say no on April 11th!

We stopped at Cold Stone on the way home and then opened some presents. Neil surprised me with a really fun bath bomb that left hearts in the tub with me as it dissolved. It stained me and the tub pink for a few days, but it was extremely fun nonetheless!

Sunday we had yummy salmon dinner and mint brownies for cake.

When's that time machine going to be invented so I can go backwards instead of forwards!?

Ahhhh... The Weekends!

I live for weekends these days. I look forward to spending all day with my cute boys!

Teeth!

My 4 month old baby has teeth already (yes, that's plural)!

Yesterday Kelsey was tending him while I was at work and she texted me saying Barrett gave her the hugest cutest smile and she couldn't believe he had 2 teeth already. I was like, You're kidding me, right?! My baby has teeth and I didn't even know it?! Mother of the year right here folks!

He's been chewing on things like crazy for about a month now and has been super drooly too but I figured that's just how he was. I had seen little white marks on his gooms (that's how old people always say gums :)) but I wasn't sure if I was really seeing them or not or if it was just something on his gums that got in his mouth.

They're really there!

Easter Part II

Easter was all around awesome! Barrett got a few new things from the Easter Bunny- and of course he wore his darling Easter jammies!

My parents bought us our annual Mrs. Cavanaugh's eggs. Unfortunately, I ate my whole egg in 1 day. It was too good to wait any longer!

And we had Barrett blessed at my parents house on Easter too. Pops gave him a very wonderful blessing. Here's Neil getting Buster all dressed up.

There were so many cute outfits to choose from, but I loved how his chunky thighs showed in this one!

Eventually, Barrett changed back into his Easter jammies and just hung out and played!

Easter Part I

I had such a fun spring break this year- it was so nice to be able to be home with Barrett every day! Easter was fun and eventful this year too.

We dyed some Easter eggs with the family. There were lots of "Baby Bear" eggs made. My mom made this one and Bear just wanted to eat it.

Here's a few others we made.

Barrett got his first Easter card. It came from his Grandma and Papa Johnson who are living in Mississippi right now. It came with some gum too and since Barrett has no teeth, I ate it for him.

He actually really liked looking at it and playing with it.
But he really wanted to just eat it.

On Saturday we went to the annual Nelson family Easter party down at Connie and Craig's. Barrett found some binkis.

Earlier this week I went out for 2 fun girls nights. They were perfectly timed because it was spring break so I got to be home with baby bear all day and then go out for a few hours at night and not feel guilty or sad!

Missy, Jeanette, Kelsey and I went to Thaifoon (I think this has become a tradition) for mine and Netti's birthdays. As a plus- it was free ice cream day at Ben and Jerry's. An even bigger plus- Missy doesn't eat ice cream so she got one and let me eat it so I got 2 free ice creams!!

Nique, who we met in 7th grade, is moving to Seattle in a few weeks so we had a little going away dinner for her at Trio (YUM!!). Here's Brittany and Jamie.

Graduation

Barrett officially graduated from physical therapy this week! We've actually had a really fun time going in to play with Caitlyn, but I think we'll have even more fun playing at home!

Taylor recently got a new job as a chef at Em's in Salt Lake. It is perfect for him and he is loving it!~

We are all benefitting from his new job too! He came up to my parents the other night to make us all dinner.

This bread with cheese and fruit may have been my favorite part of the meal!

He made pork loin stuffed with figs and topped with a bacon sherry sauce for mom and Neil.

He made seared ahi with a soy wasabi sauce for dad and Brittany.
And I got this yummy chicken stuffed with goat cheese and pine nuts.
Everything was so delicious and presented beautifully!
