Catch Up

I got my camera cord back now so I can finally update some of the things we did recently (and not so recently).
This ad was in the Hometown Values magazine last month.  I think my aunt Kathy cut it out and gave it to my parents.  I think it looks exactly like my dad when he was little.  My parents thought it looked just like McCord.

When we were in Utah a couple weeks ago, Taylor, Brittany, and Bowie came up to visit.

Our last day in Utah last time, we met up with Kacey and her kids at the park.

My mom came too so she could get more play time with Barrett.

We have the best mall near us and we like to go there sometimes just to get out of the house.  This was before I threw away all those parade necklaces.

Olivia made these AMAZING treats!  She made them out of cupcakes, brownies, colored coconut, and frosting.  I love these pictures and I cannot believe she made those!  They look like real hamburgers!

Bear really enjoys going to the library story time.  One of the story times we go to sings lots of songs- he likes that one best.

St. Patrick's Day

Our St. Patrick's Day started out with eating our Lucky Charms cereal (although we do that everyday), putting on some green clothes and heading to the gym.   I wore my only green shirt to the parade on Saturday, so it was still in the dirty laundry.  I did have a green gym shirt to wear, but after that got all sweaty, I didn't have anything else green to wear for the rest of the day.  Well, I had socks of course.  I love holiday socks.

In the afternoon, Bear and I made mint chocolate chip cookies.  That was a bit of a chore since we don't have any sort of blender/mixer here!

The final product.

For dinner I made green pancakes from scratch- no pancake mix for me!!  I didn't even have to add food coloring to them because of the special ingredient!!  They were super yummy too!  Since we also don't have a blender here, I made a huge mess. Also, I had green nails :)

These necklaces were the only green thing Neil wore.  We hurried and washed our hands and threw away the necklaces after this picture because, let's be honest, those were made in China and were probably poisoning us.

Green water in the tubby.  Those Crayola bath colors have been so much fun!  He prefers having colored water over bubbles even!

What a Day!!

We had a fun filled day today with the Love family.
Wait, these first 2 pictures were yesterday.  Oh well.  I took a risk and let Bear draw with chalk out on our sidewalk.  No one has complained about it yet...
He was pretty happy about it!

Today we headed downtown pretty early to see the St. Patrick's Day parade.  It was a decent parade with a little bit of candy and lots of necklaces, but it wasn't very warm so we didn't stay too long. (We all had green shirts on, but you couldn't see them because of our coats...)

On the way out, we stopped at Biker Jim's Gourmet Hotdogs for... hotdogs.  I didn't think they were anything great.  Neil got a reindeer hotdog (yes, made of real reindeer- they fly in the meat from Alaska!) he thought it was really good, but I didn't like it.

THEN, we met the Love's at Hammond's Candy Factory for a tour and some candy!

I actually was disappointed in pretty much everything we bought :(

Later, we went to Brio for dinner and ran around the mall for a little while.  Bear wouldn't take a nap, so he was getting pretty sleepy.  Plus, when I say we ran around the mall, I mean that literally.  The kids were crazy- mostly Bear, but he was everywhere!
They took this picture that is heaven to me!
Bear talks about playing with Tyce and Rylee (and Alex and Kelsey too) all the time since they're his only friends here!  I wish we lived closer!

An iPhone Post

BUT, I will get my camera cord back in a couple weeks and then I'll add more pictures :)
Bear was a big helper pushing the luggage out of the airport when we flew back to Denver.  It was pretty nice having Neil fly with us- that doesn't happen very often!

The day after we got home, we got SO much snow!  Bear and I went out for a little walk in it and he was so happy!

Saturday, I started feeling sick, so we just hung out in bed for a while.

Bear was grabbing mine and Neil's hands and making us hold hands and he thought it was the funniest thing!  We were all laughing pretty hard!

Later in the day, I gathered up some strength to get out of bed and take Barrett to his first movie ever!  Neil's been wanting to take him to see Frozen for a while now and we finally did it.
I put him in his own seat to see if he'd like sitting by himself.  He didn't.  The chair would fold up on him if I wasn't holding it down.  Even with the booster seat, he just wanted to sit on my lap (I was definitely okay with that too!).  He held his ticket stub for almost the whole movie.
Once the show started, it was SUPER loud!  I really hate loudness so I always have earplugs in my purse.  Bear must've inherited my intolerance to loudness, so I let him use the earplugs and I stuffed some napkins in my ears.  I looked awesome.  He sat perfectly still on my lap the entire movie.  He didn't squirm at all or say a word.  He just sat and enjoyed his popcorn and fruit punch- yeah- it was a day of indulgences for this little man!

Sunday we found out about this incredible park near us so we went to check it out.  It is enormous and I can't wait to go back again.  (sorry about the head chop, Neil!)

I think Bear's favorite thing about the park was throwing rocks.

Birthdays

So, I got a bit of bad new yesterday... Firstly, Neil told me that after months of trying to get tickets to the Ellen show for my 30th birthday in April, he couldn't get them :(  I've tried before too and it's basically impossible!  I have no idea how anyone gets in to her show!
Secondly, I left my camera cord in Utah!  So now I can only pull pictures from my phone!  I'll update all the posts when I get my cord again, but until then I'll be missing lots of pictures.

Anyways, we got to be in town for Reagan's and Tink's birthdays.  Liv is so creative, she made these pom pom balls out of yarn for the kids.

The kids were having a blast playing school.

But then Neil and I went upstairs and Bear drew on that cute chair!
This is him trying to clean it up.  Nothing worked, by the way!  So he was pretty upset the rest of the night.  So were his parents!

Jill made this AMAZING cake!

Bear blew out his own candle too because at some point everyday, he tells me, "actually, it's my birthday."

Tinkerbell has been waiting for YEARS to get her ears pierced but her mom said she had to be 9.  She finally got them done and she loves them!
She didn't even flinch when they pierced them.  I fully passed out when I got mine done!  She is a brave little girl.

Tinkerbell had an Olaf cake.

Bear's tongue tuned black from the frosting.
