On Friday I had some special students come to my class.

We have a really strict dress code at my school, but on Fridays we can wear jeans IF we wear a school shirt. So I gladly obliged.

1 Day Down...

So, I made it through the first day of school! It wasn't bad at all, just boring; very boring for me and for all the kids. It was all just introducing them to what we'd be doing and what they would need, etc. At the end of the day, I couldn't remember what I'd told this class and what I'd told the last 5 classes! I'm tired! I'm definitely planning on going to bed much earlier tonight!
Neil went out at like 5:30 this morning to go buy me flowers before he left for work so that was a huge surprise and very sweet of him. He's awesome at that kind of stuff!

Gold's Gold

So Missy and i are officially (according to Gold's Gym) Gold medal winners! Woo Hoo! The challenge was to do 25 classes in 20 days and we did it! We won these cute tank tops (mine's the red one).
The weird thing is that even though I was working out a lot more than I usually do, I didn't lose 1 single pound! I wasn't doing it to try to lose any weight, but I thought it would be a nice bonus in addition to the new tank top! oh well. I'm pretty excited about my new Olympic shirt nonetheless.

IRONMAN

My mom and dad are off to Canada to compete in the Iron Man triathlon this Sunday! They are freaking crazy/amazing! We want to wish them luck and we'll be watching on ironmanlive.com

Okay, so now that most people have finished the 4th book in the twilight series, I want to know which one was your favorite?
I think I'm going to have to read them again to break the tie between Twilight and Breaking Dawn.
They're all so good it's hard to have 1 favorite!

Kevin and Chelsey's wedding

After Kevin dragged his feet for probably close to 5 years, Kevin and Chelsey finally got married this weekend! It was fun to go and see all of Neil's high school friends. Because I'm a big loser, I didn't get an actual picture of the cute bride and groom- sorry.

Jonny and Sheena had a baby last friday and she got to come to the party too! She's just a tiny thing- only about 6 lbs!

In honor of the Olympics...

Yesterday on the news, there was a story on a guy from California who didn't make the Olympic Synchronized Swimming team because he's Male (only women are allowed on the team, in case you were wondering). Unfortunately, I couldn't find that story to post, but it was a lot like this classic SNL video.

Going Away Party

Today my friends at work threw me a going away party since I'm not going to be working at the Dental office for a while(at least until next summer).
We got Cutler's Sandwiches and cookies for lunch because that's one of my favorites.

Unfortunately I didn't think to get a picture of everyone all together, but here's my Mom, Myrna, and Jo (and some of my awesome presents).


They got me this huge box filled to the brim with awesome supplies (most of them PINK.) Tons of stuff with cute little sayings attached. I'm going to need all of it and I'll think of my great friends whenever I use it!


I have worked with the greatest people, I'm sad to be leaving, but I know it's not the end- I can't ever leave for very long... I just can't do it! I'm addicted to you guys- Thanks for everything!

Max and Liv are 5!

Yesterday, August 11, Maxwell Lewis and Olivia Juel turned 5 years old! I remember when they were born perfectly! I was living in Australia, so my brother emailed me to inform me of the news and I RAN to the nearest pay phone because our apartment didn't have a phone and my cell phone wouldn't call international! It was a crazy day. A few weeks later, my family sent me a video tape of them all hooked up to wires and tubes and I bawled everytime I watched it.
But now they're wild maniacs and they had quite the exciting party! They got a dunk tank where mostly just Jeff got dunked. (he really regretted renting that thing)

Before I got there they had a petting zoo too! I was sad to have missed that. I got there for the snow cones, pop corn, cake, and hot dogs though- that's really the important part- all the food!

Weekend Getaway

Over the weekend Neil and I got away to St. George and spent one of the days at Zion's National Park. We didn't get a map, so we really didn't know where to go except for the one place we'd gone before.
We hiked to see the 3 Emerald Pools. Here's the first...

Oh, and if you're ever in American Fork- you should go to this great Bakery where they make EVERYTHING from scratch and it's very delicious. Plus it's a cute name! Nevermind the Calories, right!?

Lin Hao

If any of you watched the Opening Ceremonies last night, you would have seen this adorable little boy- the star of the show!

When the Earthquake hit in May, this boy was in school. He escaped the fallen building and then went back in multiple times to save other people's lives. When they asked the nine year old why he did that (this is what really makes me cry) he said that he was a hall monitor and a class leader, so that was his job! Talk about a little angel boy!

He's just so tiny and sweet!

Tyce George Love

Kelsey and Alex had their baby August 5th at 8:34 pm.
He was 8 lbs 7 oz and 21 inches long!




He is so so so adorable!

Snack Time!

These kids are getting so big and they eat pretty much anything or if they don't they'll at least play with it and throw it on the floor.Cookies, licorice, crackers, flip flops- you name it they will try to eat it!

They heard the door chime on the garage and they all automatically looked to see if it was their Daddy coming home (it wasn't and they were disappointed)

Ethan was giving the best kisses through the stair banister, it was hard to get a picture though.

The boys are running around all over the place and little Lindsay is working hard to take more than 3 steps at a time!

Not even kidding, I went to High School Musical (the musical) last night!

It certainly wasn't as good as the movie, but it was still fun...if you love being surrounded by little girls singing every song at the top of thier lungs.

I went w/ my sister Jill (who fought the urge to sing all the songs at the top of her lungs with the 9 year olds). She bought some killer gear!

And, yes, I caved and purchased an "I Love Troy" t-shirt. Well, it was pink, and I do have a crush on Zac Efron, so ya know.

This is a picture of the cast (I was really hoping that it was going to be a surprise and the REAL cast would be performing that night, but whatever). I was dying with laughter because this "Troy Bolton" looks so much like my friend Matt. He told his girlfriend he would be in New Zealand this week, so I think secretly, he flew to Utah to perform as Troy!

I know I'm so lame, but High School Musical is freaking awesome, I know all you Mom's agree with me!
