3 Months

My baby girl is 3 months already.  I seriously can't even believe it.
She weighs roughly 10.8 lbs.

She's so strong- she does really well holding her head up and she likes to try to stand up and kicks her legs like crazy. She's good at grabbing things too- especially my hair now that I don't make her wear mittens 24/7.
She's been working on her angry face.

She's figured out how to blow bubbles and loves to do it.
She also loves to stick out her tongue and drools like crazy. I'm wondering if she's teething already; Bear got teeth around 4 months.

I love to hear her coo and babble.  She smiles and makes eye contact.
Her hair has been growing back pretty quickly on top but she's still missing a bit at the back where it's been rubbed off.
She often sleeps with her eyes slightly open, a trait she inherited from me. I'll have to try to get a better picture of that.
Speaking of sleep, there was about a week (let's call it the week of glory), where she would sleep from about 10pm-7am!!  It was heavenly but short lived, she's back to waking up between 3:30-4 and then again around 7, still not too bad though for a 3 month old.

She hates being alone (obviously she's never actually left alone, just in case you thought I was a horrible parent).
I put her in the bumbo seat for the first time this week.

Barrett's a fan of it too

She hasn't been all that fussy for the last month or so- I think we're out of that stage or whatever.   And really, that wasn't even that bad!  There were maybe 5 or 6 days in the first 6 weeks where she cried basically all day (and I'll admit that those were pretty hard days), but other than that, she just gets a little fussy in the afternoon or evening, and then just fuss to tell me she needed something.  Not bad at all.
She pretty much hates tummy time.
She rolled over at exactly 12 weeks but I didn't see it until a few days ago.

She has ticklish thighs and gets the hiccups every time she laughs.

She's just the best!  If I didn't have to go through the pregnancies and c-sections, I would probably have 10 kids!

Oktoberfest

Another fun weekend in the books. The four of us headed up to beautiful Snowbird for Oktoberfest.  It was pretty crowded when we got there, but it was 20 times worse by the time we left!  It was great to drive up through the canyon this time of year because the leaves are already starting to change.

We got some pretty good treats. Neil got a bratwurst, Bear got a hot dog, and we got some waffles to share as well.

This little girl made Bear this sword that he was so excited about (excitement not pictured).

Bear and I went to Lagoon with Nicole and Eli on Saturday and had a blast as always.  Actually Bear got to go twice that day, I took him in the morning and then Neil took him to Lagoon-a-beach in the afternoon since it was the last day open for that.

When Barrett and Neil went, they got me this awesome headband.  They got it from playing a game or something and Bear picked it out for me because he "thought I would like it."  He was so excited to bring it home for me. I thought that was so sweet of him!  I really did use it every day when I'd wash my face until it broke a couple weeks later.  He was super disappointed that I broke it and told me he wasn't going to get me a new one next time he went to Lagoon.

There's a Snake in my Boot

We found a snake during Bear's soccer game this week.  Just a tiny one but it was a pretty big deal/distraction for the kids!

Labor Day Weekend

We had the funnest Labor Day weekend.
It included plenty of cuddles, although that is pretty standard with this tiny girl. I was watching my latest obsession, Suits.

We went to ride the tiny train for the last time this year.  I found out that Neil had never come with us before in our many many trips to the tiny train, this was his first time!

I couldn't ride the tiny train with Eden, so we all rode the big train together é
and then the boys rode the tiny train by themselves. ê

Then Bear got to play on the playground.  This place is all super amazing!

We also took a family trip to Lagoon (Eden's first time!).  Bear told me he was "brave enough" to go on the tilt-a-whirl.  At first he did really well and was having fun because we weren't really spinning, but at the end of the ride, our cart started spinning and he was not happy about it. I could not stop laughing.

Monday everyone came over for a cook out.

Lu didn't leave Bowie's side the whole time.

Eden got a little attention. Oh yeah, she rolled over by herself for the first time!  Only Shelley saw her and she hasn't done it again since then, but she's not put down very often so she hasn't had much of a chance yet.

Liv is like a professional nail artist.  She seriously does amazing things.

She did Bear's nails too but he wanted it off pretty quick.

The boys did a few arm wrestles.

Neil and I got to go on a little shooting date.  I got this awesome shot ;) of Neil.

Everyone already knows how good Neil is at shooting, but I did really well too.

This was my target with the above gun.

And this is with my revolver.  So don't come to my house uninvited!

And dominos!  I was on fire! You can't see her, but I held Eden the whole game and she was definitely my good luck charm.  I won 6 games!

First Day of Preschool

Bear had been looking forward to starting preschool all summer long.  He finally started this week and he's really been loving it!
Obligatory first day of school photos.

His first day he walked right in and was ready to go.  I had to call him back to me to give me a kiss and a hug!

When it was time to pick him up, he was having the best time just playing outside with some girls; he didn't want to come home!
Each time I've gone to get him, he's wanted all his friends to come look at his baby sister.  He's such a proud big brother!

He made this gingerbread man today.

Grandma CC's Birthday Parties

Connie invited us down to her house to have a birthday party for Grandma CC last weekend.  Everyone had so much fun and her pool is looking beautiful (as always, but they just had it re-tiled, and re did all the stone around it, and the waterfall too.)

On her birthday day, she went to a lunch and a movie with my mom and then came over for dinner and peach cobbler.  Barrett convinced her that since there was only one candle, he should probably be the one to blow it out.

On Sunday, we had another birthday party for her.  She's definitely worth having 3 parties for!
